Back home from Chennai, well almost ! Went straight to the studio and ‘Aladin’ from the airport, worked all day came via the office attending meetings with Star TV on show proposals and now with all of you. You who continue to overwhelm me with your affection and concern and love. You who agree with the stands i take. You who encourage me to pursue my vocation despite my shortcomings. You who tolerate my beard, off or on ! You who show your faith in me, by sending me your own personal issues, hoping that i shall wave a magic wand and all will be well. You that criticize me lovingly and not so lovingly. You that get nasty and unethical and sometimes cheap and vulgar. You that exhibit your writing skills and laud mine. You that take interest in my father’s works, quote them extensively and send me your own compositions. You that persevere that i will one day respond personally to you. You that write to me from far off lands - Costa Rica and USA and Hawai and just so many regions i never ever expected to be known…
You are the reason i am.
I strive to seek your attention. My work revolves around what the mass would think, tolerate and react. The value that you give me in my assessment and yours as well. The wave of recognition as i drive by in the street. The roar of appreciation as i appear in public. The smile that lights up your face as i walk past. All this and more is our indicator of accomplishment.
Every message of yours illuminates the acceptance of my nature and character. It fills me with pride and great joy that without having done anything personal at all, there is a desire among you of considering me close enough as a member of your family ! I cannot ask for more. I never desired this nor did i work towards it. For it to happen then, almost of its own, is not a reflection of my presence or deed. It is undoubtedly the greatness of all your beings. And may it ever remain so.
Every evening, after the shooting there is a line up of promotional activities for ‘BhoothNath’. Interviews and press meets. Routine questions, but a real test on our performance capacity to make each similar question sound different in its response. Marketing gets bigger by the day. We travel to London too at the end of the month to do press there. Tomorrow i launch through Zapak.com a game for the film. The traffic Commisioner wishes to, in conjunction with the Producers, launch a campaign on the traffic laws and regulations which are not being paid heed to - ‘Stick to your lane, BhoothNath is watching’, ‘Observe the signal, Bhooth Nath is watching’.
Some found it not having much value. But the Commissioner explained the motive. If BhoothNath is a ghost, which he is in the film, then by saying BhoothNath is watching conveys the fact that even though drivers and commuters may feel the absence of the police man on the spot, there is someone that is watching you and that your infringement will not go unnoticed - an obvious reference to hidden cameras and plain clothes policemen. Interesting.
Ram Gopal Varma amuses me with his self deprecatory remark on the sms. This morning his text reads - ‘ Sarkar ( we address each other thus ), people are saying Tashan is as bad as Aag…! If Sholay has set the bench mark for the ultimate hit then the least i achieved with Aag, is that i made it a bench mark for the ultimate flop.. ha..ha ‘

I FI MAY SAY SO AAG WAS NOT FLOP IN MY MIND..IT WAS U IN IT..DIRECTION WAS BAD BUT U WERE AWESOME IN IT..I MEAN U THINK WE ALL WENT TO SEE AAG OR RAM GOPAL VERMAS DIRECTION LOL NOPE..WE ALL WENT TO C U…U JUSTR DONT WORRY ONE BIT UR THE BEST THERE IS EVER WAS EVER WILL BE….AAG TO AAPNE LAGA DI HAIN DUNIYA MAIN WITH UR PRESENCE PAPA..I LOVE U

So many moons later after so many films and multitude of roles under your belt, Whats next? bhootnath, thats a good step, but hey amith ji, no! thats rong - Sir amit jee, i think it will be the greatest missed oportunity if you was to bow out without ever doing the ultimate ganster movie to top Agneepath. Ok the argument could be had that, well ,I have done so many, form agneepath,don,sarkar, family, but they all feel like small pieces, in the greater masterpiece yet to be concieved and completed. am no expert but i put a humble plea or you could call it a challenge for all you scriptwriters, to come up with a script or you yourself act as a catalyst for them to deliver a product that has the potentcy to match if not knock all other gangster films(indian or international) into oblivion.but to get ppl thinking, some suggestions from this mr average. take the intensity of sarkar,the look of the don in family, a man who dont give two crap with waffle, simple to the point,dressed in simple yet designer suits, a style that wont look out of place twenty yrs from now, similar to sholay backdrop, its still so in.add glamour like dubai, and plenty of sand, so looks like a western yet the italian mafia look about it, yalk minimal, say wat you mean and mean what you say, a persona that shifts form a wild laugh that others dont know wether to laugh with or remain nuetral as to avoid a bullet in the head, in the next minute.Elements of family emotions, like agneepath, mother and son that was electric, but with a new twist, love family but same time have a son that loses his ground played by abhishek, and eventually you put him out of the picture in true clinical fashion, yet still be insulted and bruised by your mother, but have to tolerate it.have gadgets that wouldnt look out of place form any bond movie. miss all the dancing and singing scenes.been there done that.we making a masterpiece remember jee? lol. then add jaya jee as your wife you dont listen to, but she bares with all silently with her same simple look of sholay.abhishek to be the ultimate apprentice,to take over form you, but with youth comes haste, and in the most of all the voilence and animal mode, he forgets that there is one above him, and the time arives when you have to show him whos the daddy-lol. and end it with a climax, like came with two him and his mother, and be left with just him and his mother and having lost all his family and wealth and ganster empire.out of time and bullets, but look that could still cause hearts to skip a beat. well something on those lines, lol, come on guys am not a scripwriter and if i can think if that in ten minutes, it shouldnt be too difficult for all you highly talented well paid(ok that open to debate and we havnt got time) ppl to come up with a masterpiece of the magnitude that SIR Amit Ji deserves and bollywood and his fans are crying out for.We have the talent, he can do nowt to sixty in no time, so lets push him to the max, before its too late and he decides to bow out and indulge in some boring past time like sky admiring on dubai beaches till the final curtain. so please all concerned do it and do it soon. and amit jee your just tops man, chill let them talk just carry on with your work, when critics abound , let your work silence there heightening decibel of repeat boring questioning. PS. anyone still awake?

Dear Mr. Bachchan,
Let me start off by saying I am a big fan. I cannot claim to be the biggest. I am well aware of your fan following. But you are my favorite actor! Aamir Khan (because of Rangeela) comes next.
I am in software, and call the US, my home at this time. I, being marathi, was taken by surprise by the MNS controversy. However, I am usually interested in what someone has to say, if I have the time to listen/read.
The one thing that got my attention during those days, was a news article about the land that you owned in UP/Pune/Lonavla. Let me explain what I have read. There could be gaps in my knowledge, so feel free to correct me.
I read that you owned some land that you initially decided to donate to farmers, but then changed your mind, once you were deemed “qualified” to own it. Is this correct? Why did you withdraw the offer to donate it? The media reports are either incomplete or one-sided. And hence so is my knowledge. Your answer will help me and some other fans understand Amitabh, the person.

this post made me recall what my sister always tells me about the time she met you…it was during the shooting of Aag, and when you came, the environment of the set completely changed, and people were so concious of your presence…and then she asked you for an autograph and a pic, and u gave her the autograph, and said that u cant have a pic clikced in that look…she waited, and u remembered to get the pic clicked later on..she told you that you had attended our parents’ wedding! (we hav a pic of that, n v so treasure it!) ..and described the twinkle in your eye when you smiled..she also found your security people quite courteous…
…summing it up, she was smitten!!
