I would have preferred to have left you with DAY 20, but on returning back from location, I went through my faxes that contain the days cuttings and could not resist commenting on what appeared in MidDay.

After years of accusing my family and I of arrogance, aloofness and non cooperation.
After years of making desperate attempts at provoking us into response.
After years of throwing every possible ‘yellow pencilled’ ‘post its’ at us, you now, at getting suitable response and noticing that the ‘dignifed silence’ bit is not working, get sensitive about my insensivity ??
Ladies and Gentlemen, you are standing on rubber crutches !
You pleaded for response, you pleaded for reaction, you pleaded for information. Now that it has started coming via the blog, you want to limit and control its voluntary existence.
You enter my house uninvited and then complain about the design of the non existent invitation card. And thats not all. You enter my drawing room and set up your shop there, for the whole world to come shopping in !!
Not comprehendible ! Let me put it less metaphorically.
When we did not talk, you sulked. When we do talk, we have suddenly become ‘over sensitive’!! Ideally, what you are trying to say is that, we should talk, but within the limits of your control. Does the functioning of just one insignificant blog, make you that insecure !
I do not think so. Because even though you criticize that we are super sensitive to provocation, you do not hesitate to use that as a column, in running a survey, inviting readers to contribute. Thats the shop you have set up in my house !! Compliments ! And you run a story that I am being paid to write my blog !!!??! You think we cannot see through this. Its such a desperate attempt to find fault and run the blog down. Which is rather silly I think, since the blog is providing you, somewhat intermittently, with printable information. Information that you do not have to pay for !! Information that you continuously seek to make good copy !! Deny that ??
Well here’s something that would interest you. A verbatim transcript of an sms sent to me by your own ilk, after I have repeatedly denied a query of his -
“Sorry. Then those are rumours. But any plan of settin up ur dub theatre ? Anyth more newsy ? Keep in touch. Regards.”
Anyth more newsy?
Media asking Amitabh Bachchan, anything more newsy ?? Same Amitabh Bachchan you claim above as being sensitive to slightest provocation !
So.. we should be around to give you any news you want, yet if we challenge an accusation we are being ’super sensitive’.

muje lagta hai ye midday paper kuch zada hi hosiyar hai ..
har bar jab me midday padhta hu kuch na kuch bakwas apke liye likhte hi rehte hai .shayad isiliye maine voh paper hi padhna band kar diya ..
muje to lagta hai ye do kodi ka pper or uska editor bikau hai ..kbc3 ko us paper ne itna acha batya k uske aage tamam game show ko flop keh dala …
muje to lagat hai is do kodi ke papre ko us do kodi ka actor(SRK) ne KHARID LIYA HAI ISILIYE USKE BARE ME ACHA LIKHTE HAI ..

Sir, i have been thinking lately that our media criticizes everything and everybody, without giving a second thought. But who will criticize the media and in which medium? Have a look at the newspapers and news channels, especially the hindi ones (and also the bengali ones as i am a bengali, i get to see them sometimes). They are so horrible and distasteful. What more they are so biased that they often glorify some below average works of shah rukh khan or others to such an extent that the hype generated becomes detrimental to the film’s fate. On the other hand they tarnish the images of international heroes like Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar( i am big fans of both). You have chosen this brilliant medium of blogging to respond to all personal attacks on you. Let us wait and see what those aesthetically handicapped media persons have to say after this.
