Apologies ! It is the Supreme Court in the Ramadoss story. I stand corrected.

And … I finally have been given the know how on Hindi Devnagri and how it can be initiated on Mac. So after a few lessons on its use I shall be there with you in that script - ना !

(JUST IN CASE U DIDNT READ MY MESSAGE YESTERDAY)

    U SAID MY NAME!!!

Is this even true? Is this even possible? My existence has been acknowledged?
You, from Allahabad, said my name? You, the one that is loved by millions and millions, has said my name? You, the one with the ‘786’ badge, said my name? You, the ‘chora ganga kinare wala’, said my name? You the Lawaaris said my name??? Vijay said my name? The DON said my name? John Jani Janardhan said my name??? You the one that eats banarsi paan said my name? You the one that doesn’t take ‘phainke hue paise’ said my name. You the ‘lambi race ka ghora’ said my name? You the one that wears ‘no nambar Kolhapuri chapal’ said my name? The pathan from Kabul said my name?? The Shahehshah in all his glory said my name??

    Can this even be contemplated?????

Your eyes glanced on my lame excuse of a message. You read what this non-entity had to say. ‘THE’ AMITABH BACHCHAN read my words??? You the ocean gave this drop significance? You felt my love? What is happening here? Since the moment I saw this unworthy soul’s name in Your blog I’ve lost all sense of reaction. I don’t know what to do, what to say, how to feel, what to think. I’m lost in limbo. MY Beloved spent some of his time on me????? The Lord has shown mercy on me. I cannot comprehend the fact that out of your 65 and a half years of illuminating this world with your Brilliance, several seconds out of that were spent on me???? The One I have grown up watching has written my name with his hands? Your fingers went right towards ‘i’ then left towards ‘b; then left again hitting ‘r’, one more left towards ‘a’ then lastly right on ‘r’. That’s at least 2 seconds however fast one can be. I’d say another 3 seconds for my surname, not to forget the upper case. On what grounds has my status been elevated that You, up there, looked down on me and lifted me near You?

I am fascinated. I am fascinated to see the love you give back to us. I am fascinated at your humble attitude. I am fascinated at the time you take out to write to us. I am fascinated at the thought of you sitting in front of your Mac reading my message. I’m fascinated at being in Your thought-frame albeit for even the slightest of moments, For I can live my whole life in that one single moment. I am fascinated in the fact that this One mentioned the name of this ‘no one’. I’m fascinated at the Greatness of the Almighty for giving us you. I am fascinated at the thought of so much beauty in one person. I am fascinated at the fact that this Wonder of the World remembered me. I am fascinated in my fascination for you. AmitJi…..You are my Fascination!!!

What have I done to deserve such affection, such glory, such esteem, such prominence? Nothing!! For this is just one of your million and billion examples of humility and ‘commonness’. The way you stretch out to us is ecstatic!!

What more can I want from life? What ambitions do I have now? What is there else to desire?

As I write this one of the most famous lines of one of the most famous songs ever is playing…

‘aankhen milli hai, dil bhi milein hai, dekh mile kab apne Naseeb.’

    Wow!!! Utterly Bliss!!

Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for blossoming my life with evergreen stars and everlasting beauty. Thank you for allowing me to lose myself in my deepest blue which is coloured without a shadow of a doubt with your illuminated persona. Thank you for making me smile when hard times come my way. Thank you for keeping me positive when everything around me is showered with destruction. Thank you for your immense gratitude and affection you blessed me that beautiful day. You changed my whole life with one go that special day. I embraced my Beloved. Thank you.

Mr Bachchan words cannot explain or it could be that I don’t have the linguistic skill to convey what I want to say so I shall give up and return to my trance in which I can spin forever in the love of…..You.

With all my love and affection….

    Dear Sir,

I have read the article on some news website about banning drinking scene from the films. i do agree with you that if the country is going the western way nobody can stop the masses on drinking even if we banned the scences from films. But i also had a suggestions if actors like you can encourgare the public and advertise for a healthy living than i m sure that same masses would follow the trend. The best way is to start with 5 fruits a day concept which is growing fast in all the western countires.
And also it is upto each individual choice what they want at the end of the day.

As always would be waiting for your reply.

Here’s another insane fan of yours. Like biliion others I have grown-up watching your movies and feel that despite the run-of-the-mill stories i could see you were always trying new things to break the monotony. I think your verstality was honed in those years lately, and you will able to break the mould and do out-of-the-box stuff much later when you had the liberty to break away from legacy. Anyway, my mum always says that you ahve gracefully aged and adapted which is why the old and the new continue to like you.

I respect your work, demenaour and grittyness. Wish to meet you someday. Do tell us on your blog if you are ever coming to Hong kong.

Amit ji; A.B. , Vijay; Big B; DADU; so many names of love but yet just that 1 man who has lived a life not just for himself but for giving emotions and entertainment to this world. I would not like to repeat all these words as it would be a bit embarrassing for you to take this being larger then life figure for a lot of humanity.
My question to you Mr. Bachhan is that: What all emotions dose a person who happens to of your stature goes through when the family of his childhood best friend shows personal animosity showing that they are not at all behind it. Looking at the relation you and your families shared with them, they should have behaved like one dose to a Caring fatherly Figure. Was this too difficult to be maintained by both sides. What do you say on this?

    Dear Mr Bachchan,

It is commendable that in this day and age you have the enthusiasm to author a blog. I am not a movie buff but i do enjoy it once in a while and I do think that there can be no one in India who can even come close to the following you have with Indians, be it for your movies or for just who you are. Amazing!

The only reason I visited this blog is because I saw an interview on television that mentioned you have a blog, and being a techie myself I wondered what it would be like hence I came and had a look. I like it, and its very sensible and has an aura of humbleness which I never expected to find.

The only reason I like you is because you have panache and because I read your fathers poems when I was a child.

    Happy Blogging!

    Cheers,
    Rose.

We all know that you and your family have been going through rough patch as people want to make it to the headlines they just go after you, they don’t realize indirectly they digging their own grave, anyways your father said “Mann ka ho to achcha , aur na ho to aur bhi achcha! ” which I really find very relevent in today’s world.

Amitji….aap bahut bade hain and aggar kuch bander haathi ke gere huain kele kha lain to kya harz hain. Maaf kar dijiye usse.

Rest, I too spend some time abroad working in software industry and Tabu’s comment that they function well in not applied to abroad film industry but overall to all the industry there. The biggest diff is we want to mover very fast in all section of life compromising everything while they move slowly consolidating everything.

I am sure when we become developed country and have some sense of security, probably we will able to function like them. Fingure crossed (vaise Indian mentality badal jayain……aasan nahin hain_ :-)

I read daily your blog and loving each moment of it.

I remember being in a daze after I saw Zanjeer (’73). I was 15 and your character gave a whole meaning to life for a teenager. Deewaar (’75) & Sholay (’75) made you the icon for my generation. Of course I loved you in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s movies too, but then in the ’80s the quality of your movies changed. I then stopped watching your movies - for over 20 years! Then you suddenly appeared on TV giving out money! You were great and now I find your movies are great too. You have caught-up with the tastes of my generation again!
Now I am 50 & feel tired, but I have to salute you for your energy and interest in life to reinvent yourself for a new present.
I remember reading somewhere that Shashi Kapoor (your old co-star & another favorite of our generation) saying that he just loves watching you reinvent yourself.
I wish that you go on for a long long time more and may many new generations discover you and wonder.
Keep it up Sir. I also wish you many years of happiness.

I came to know that you had a double master’s degree in arts and science, respectively. When Sri Gandhiji fasted for the country, the people prayed for his health. When Sri Ramana Maharshi had been ailing with a malignant cancerous growth in his left hand, all souls prayed for the Bhagavan. When you were severely ill in the 80’s due to the critical injury, we along with all in the country and abroad prayed for your sooth recuperation and recovery.

Like the Mahatma to the liberation of India, as Bhagavan Ramana to the spiritual liberation of all of us, you are to the entertainment of India. Mahatma had competent predecessors, contemporaries and successors as Maharshi Ramana as well as yourself. Amitabh Bachchan is the name of that hero of Indian Cinema Industry who had achieved great heights of international fame because of his unmatched acting that can’t be compared to any actor of India rather world Cinema Industry. Undoubtedly Amitabh has been crowned with the title of millennium star that has not been in the fate of any other actor or actress in the world. But it is a matter of regret that this hero whom the people adored at world level has been under criticism in his own country. Had that criticism been clean, healthy & argumentative? Or the persons who did it, had they owned some personality equal to Amitabh? Then the importance of this criticism must have been considered. But it’s a matter of great sorrow that people, who raise fingers against Amitabh, call themselves Indians but they favour regional, narrow, limited & inferior politics. Those people are raising fingers against Amitabh. In fact by doing so, they want to increase their name & fame. I have no objection to say that the thoughts of such people are narrow, jealous & separatist.

Today, the persons who are raising fingers at Amitabh Bachchan are blaming him in different manners. One such blame being put against him is that he got everything name, fame, money etc. by living in the state of Maharashtra, where there is Indian Film Industry, but he is busy in thinking the development of Uttar Pradesh & not of Maharashtra. Those persons who are of separatist mentality accuse that Amitabh earns in Maharashtra & praised Uttar Pradesh. Not only this, these people now advise Amitabh Bachchan to leave film industry. What a sorrow, on one side this man has secured a place of ‘Angry Young Man’ & established himself alone on this title being an ideal of children & adults for the years. As a senior actor, he has also established himself even more than an actor than he was in the role of an ‘Angry Young Man.’ Despite this popularity that is beyond the skies & his great demand as an actor, his critics are advising him to leave the film industry. Is this meaningless opposition not the height of jealousy?

Undoubtedly, the experts of regional politics & who raise separatist voices to earn their living from it may say anything to Amitabh but there lives such a man in them who had never let regional & separatist voice grow in his heart. By chance, I remained with Amitabh Bachchan as his political associate when he was representing Allahabad Parliament Constituency of Indian Parliament. The All India National Integration conference that he addressed on January 11, 1987 was his last address there as a parliamentarian in Allahabad. I myself was the organizer of this conference in Prayag Sangeet Samiti Hall, Allahabad. On this occasion, Amitabh Bachchan said a lot regarding National Unity. He said one thing that an ordinary leader doesn’t dare to say but he expressed his unfearful opinions. Despite being a Congress Parliamentarian & in spite of the fact that at that time his chum Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister of the country, he openly said in his speech that if there stood a great obstacle in our National Unity, that was different regiments based of regions & caste in Indian Army. Amitabh said what is the need of formation of Sikh Regiment, Jaat Regiment, Pathan Regiment, Gorkha Regiment, Rajputana Rifles, Mahaar Regiment etc. based on regions & castes in Indian Army? Amitabh was of the view that there should be army of one name in one country. It means that it is enough to recognize Indian Army as Indian Army only. During his this speech, he expressed one of his agony that whenever he goes out of the country & a countryman comes to see him, that introduces himself a Punjabi, Marathi or Bengali instead of as an Indian. Amitabh said that we Indians should not think like it. We should first show ourselves as an Indian & not a representative of any region or a caste.

But it is a matter of sorrow that this great hero of great national thoughts is being criticized by those people whose politics, whose living & talking, everything is based on regionalism. Although I agree to it that today Amitabh Bachchan is being criticized because of his much political interference. But persons like me who know Amitabh Bachchan from very near & who have got a chance to live & work with him to understand his behaviour & attitude, they know it very well that Amitabh Bachchan never understood earning or fame as a ladder to reach the height of politics. Despite the politics has always deceived Amitabh. I am going to publish a book in the near future named ‘Rajniti Ka Dansh’ (The Agony of Politics). I have tried to prove in this proposed book that what Amitabh want to contribute to the country through politics. But the fate gave birth to such circumstances that this politics didn’t prove anything more than an agony for him.

Today the reason of Amitabh Bachchan’s criticism is being seen as his interest in a particular political party. Obviously the persons who criticizes that political party in which Amitabh is interested, also aims at Amitabh. But there is no doubt that he may be interested in whatever party or can be said that may be the skilled politicians of any party have succeeded in attempt in joining Amitabh to any party, but nobody can doubt that the millennium star doesn’t stick to any narrow thinking. He is a great hero having a Nationalist thought.

This is my first time writing on your blog. I want to say what immense joy and pleasure you give us, your million, billions of fans and devotees who read your daily writings on the blog, in fact, I get withdrawal symptons when I don’t read your news!

I want extend my heartfelt thanks to your strong and committed speech on female infanticide. This practice is so rampant and awful in India and if the whole of the Indian population can take on board your plea and courageous stance against this heinous crime, so much good can come about to prevent this from happening.

Please take good care of yourself, love, prayers and blessings to you always.

    Dear Amit ji,
Good to see you around, more so since most of us have never been aware of the great writing prowess you seem to have inherited from the illustrious Harivanshrai ji. My first memory of you, in recorded form, goes back to 1977, when I was four, and I had scribbled your name as my favourite actor!
But honestly after that I became a Dharam ji fan but your humane aspect and the simplicity so profoundly palpable around you, have always touched me. My first meeting with you dates back to 2000 when Amar Singh ji introduced me to you at Sahara Shahr (you were having lunch with Jayaji at that time) saying: Jaise aap mere bade bhai hain, Mohit mera chota bhai hai!
Your warmth at that time in acknowledging the presence of a minion like me, is still fresh in my meories and ever since you have become my most quoted example of humility and grace.
Since then I have just been SMSing you, unfailingly, on your birthdays and sukh-dukh ke avsar!
Once when you were unwell and were admitted with serious problems and I lit a ‘diya’ at a fabled Shirdi Sai temple at the outskirts of Ganga in Kanpur at a place called Bithoor, I smsed you a get well soon message alongwith Baba’s blessings. And do you know, you smsed me back at 4:15 am despite, the pain you must be going through at that time.
You were operated upon the same day. I dont want to sound like a besotted fan or bore you further with something you must have heard millions of times but it is just that I wanna share all this with the other bloggers so that they know even more on how caring you are for people in general and your fans in specifics.
I have a humble request - Baba inspired me to write a book on my experiences with ‘Him’ and the book took shape as ‘Sai’ - a book published by Raj Kamal Prakashan. The book was released at Shirdi by OP Srivastava ji; deputy chairman Sahara group, at my home in Mainpuri by Mulayam Singh ji and at Bithoor by Jaya Prada ji.
The first edition has been sold out and the proceeds are being used to build a school for poor children. For the last one year or so I have preserved a book for you, with a request that you pay Rs 135 (its cost) for it and contribute in this small, yet big way for a cause. I chanced upon you at Amar Singh ji’s father cremation but then that was not the occassion to talk, Sir.
Would be thankful if u find time, sometime whenever you are in Delhi so that I could call on you and present you with my small offering at the feet of Sai!

    God bless you, sir!

    Lots of Love and regards,

    Mohit
