Dearest Ones,
I am in a rush. The morning was filled with meetings on schedules for future projects. Well more importantly for ‘Teen Patti’, which is to be shot in USA during the time of our Concert Tour.
A friend in Goa was releasing a book on the history and culture of the land and wanted me to do the honors. I flew in there at 4:30pm, finished the function and have flown back to catch a flight to Nice. Its the Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya is to be there as Ambassador for L’Oreal, Abhishek has just finished his schedule in Miami for Karan Johars ‘Dostana’ and is leaving for Nice as well. The family has not been together for long, so we are going there to be together.
Will be in aircraft for long hours and shall connect once I reach French territory.
Till then.. an interview I did for Times of India this morning..
My love and more
Amitabh Bachchan

Namaskar Meena,
Herewith the responses as desired.
AMITABH BACHCHAN
Your blog is now the hot topic of discussion. Every day there is a new revelation.
What people want to know is—who is the real Amitabh Bachchan? The extremely private actor who was very diplomatic in his answers to the media for nearly 40 years/and revealed very little about himself…or the man, who is now very vocal about his feelings on everything/everyone.
ANS//
I really do not understand what all the fuss is about and I have not come across any discussions that have been hot enough for this rather unusual sounding word called blog. I do understand the curiosity though in the minds of readers and listeners, whenever there has been a seeming departure from the usual, particularly in matters that involve public figures and celebrities. But for it to be given the importance of a dedicated interview or an entire editorial, as I notice from some papers, is really quite unnecessary and a bit embarrassing if I might say.
However, having committed myself to you for a response I guess I am obliged in some manner to give you one.
I would in all sincerity have to subject myself to an analyst’s couch to ascertain who I really am. And so I believe would many others in similar profession. After 40 years of playing and enacting varied roles and characters I wonder what remains behind within us that could be termed real. We go through real life situations several times in front of the camera that you would go through only once. It would be easier therefore to judge who you really are. For us, no matter how honestly we may reveal ourselves, you would always question and doubt that, as do many of my readers on the blog, who insist, and some rather strongly, that ‘this whole humility bit’ for instance ‘is a façade’.
You see what I mean. When I shall express something in all honesty it is being taken as a deliberate contrived humbleness. And there really is no other way to defeat that perception. In the end therefore, all that matters is the perception. I could be doing the most vile acts in person, but if the perception in the minds of the people is that I am a good man then that is what will be termed real.
I hope and pray that the perception people have of me is good. If not, then I shall very humbly strive harder towards it.
Your strong reactions to the following have shocked many.
a) your reaction to the Raj Thackeray picketing your home;
b) your reaction to Union Health Minister,.Anbumani Ramadoss saying film actors shouldn’t smoke or drink on screen;
c) your reaction to a critic, criticising your work in Bhoothnath;
d) or your thoughts and feelings for the Gandhi family
e) Shatrughan Sinha and his reactions to IIFA
f) Your decision to quit politics
These are some of the topics you have touched on. And at times, there is a no-holds barred response. Is a blog an area where an actor lets his guard down?
ANS//
Most of the reactions you mention above, barring perhaps two, have all been addressed through the media, both in print earlier and the electronic when it came into existence, later. The matter on the Health Minister and my friend and colleague Shatrughan Sinha came after I started my blog. And not without reason. I wanted to retain the exclusivity of my remark for my blog first. These were issues the media had not questioned me about, directly. I chose voluntarily to speak on them and that too after I had been questioned about them by the concerned individuals. The media picked it up from my very small and limited blog and gave it a larger profile by carrying it in their more impressive medium, thereby giving it a much greater presence.
There have been no rules stipulated as to what needs to go on the blog or not. I am believing it is a vehicle for me to express my thoughts and inviting others interested in it to read and comment. No where does it say that it is an ‘area where an actor lets his guard down’. And even if I were to say, for the sake of argument, that it is, what is the guarantee that you would believe that this is indeed the ‘real person’ !
Are you over-whelmed by the reaction you have been getting from readers/fans to what you post on the blog, on a daily basis?
ANS//
Yes. Immensely. There has been the good the bad the ugly the abusive. There has been dissent and criticism and anger and harsh words. There has been emotion and love and adulation. All very overwhelming. Much like various phases of my own life and career. Fascinating .
Is the blog a current passion/fascination? Do you see this—blog and u— as a long-standing relationship. Or do you think, you will tire of giving a little bit of yourself away each day.
ANS//
These are early days. I want to be able to have sufficient material everyday to remit. Shortly our website shall be operative and four other prominent members of the family will be a part of it. Naturally there will be the obvious dilution in interest. I shall wait and see.
Will you, via your blog, vanquish anyone who annoys you? Your blog, is like Lord Shiva’s third eye. Folk lore has it, that when Shiva opened his third eye, the world quaked.
Similarly, the blog has become your new weapon of hitting back.
ANS//
Ha..ha..this is comedic !! I never looked at it this way, but since you are the one that brought it up, maybe you believe in such practices. Do I suspect an attempt to suppress a guilty conscience here ?
Are you disillusioned with the media? Has a section of it, been unfair to you and your family?
ANS//
Disillusioned ? You must be kidding ! How can I ever be disillusioned by a medium that provides me with the bread and butter for my blog !
How much time do you dedicate to your blog each day? Is there a fixed routine…like writing in the morning/evening? Or do you just pen to paper, as and when you are inclined/angry/happy?
ANS//
I have never counted and there is no fixed routine. I write whenever I get the time. And it is not pen to paper, it is single finger to keyboard !
Are you aware that other actors like Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgan too have been communicating via blogs. Is this the Indian film industry’s latest fascination.
ANS//
I learnt from the media that they do and was not aware of it earlier and I cannot say whether the Industry is fascinated by it.

Hello Sir,
Nowadays I find most of your interviews very bland and boring. You are way better when you express through blog.
Is it because you are actually bored doing n number of interviews which have same questions and you have to be safe with your comments as media can manipulate it.
Anyway, I am loving this blog and can’t wait for my daily dose. You rock!!!

Dear Sir,
First of all, I don’t know which should be the most appropriate salutation for you - should it be Sir, the God of Bollywood, Shahenshah, Idol for Billions, Ideal for Billions, honestly these all seem to be very small in front of Amitabh Bachchan - the only person after Dhirubhai Ambani who has lived larger than the life…you are not only the biggest actor and Shahenshah, the bollywood has ever produce, you are not only one of the most respected personalities of the world, you are not only the most humble human being in the Film Industry, you are not only the person whose eyes speak the emotions, whose voice is heavenly and spreads aroma of feelings everywhere - you are Idol and Ideal for billions and trillions of people like me…..you have your own fragrance, you are Charismatic…you are the only One….that’s all I can say….
As many have told, i am just reiterating, it’s very hard for us to believe that we are actually communicating to our Idol and Ideal…for me and lots of like me..it’s just a dream comes true for us….thanks to the internet technology and blogs which gave us a chance to interact with you who was due to many reasons unapproachable……
I don’t want to comment on any of your personal feelings and emotions you share with us….but just want to say…when u get hurt, we are hurt and when we see a smile on your face, we start flying high….we always want our superstar to be happy and all your fans in the entire universe are with you whenever you want…..
I also want to share here that I have watched “Guru”, Abhishek’s movie for more than 90 times so far….it’s not because the acting is good, or the songs…the entire movie, including Abhishek’s performance…gives a great new lesson to me each time i watch it…whenever I want some motivation i watch it…it has become a source of inspiration for me…the movie has taught me that if your will power is strong, no one can stop you achieving your goals….and that was Abhi has done to tell and convey….Give my regards to him for that and thank him for being a part of such a great “event” called “Guru”!!!!
At last, for now, Just wanted to say, “tum jiyo hazaaro saal, saal ke din ho 50 hazaar”….
With bunches of love and wishes….

Hello Big B… Pallab this side.. I am a great fan of yours….infact you are a vital part of our life.. I have grown seeing Shakti, Lawaaris. Namak Halal… and the great films you have acted in….. How can I forget a maestro like you…. Surprisingly when I was a grown up man… I found out that you are also a Libra.. I am infact proud to be sharing my zodiac with you….. Soooooo flexible..and balanced. The best part of the total story is that I respect all your personal decisions…. even making Aish your Bahu for Abhishek… whatever people told about invitations in that marriage is very personal … and I understand your stand on that… the way you drove your bahu and beta is something very emotional… I can see that love and care in your eyes….. Keep it up… We are a couple staying in Delhi.. and my wife shamita reads your blog everyday… we wish to meet you personally sometime… but also understand your constraints. We wish you and jayaji a very healthy time ahead….. Lastly… don’t take overstress….Life is all about enjoying…. I somewhere felt that you need to take care of yourself…..beware of the junk foods in USA…and stick to simple and healthy Indian food…..Take care and if possible do reply…..

blogging has brought you from exclusivity to a state of being between us. It has not been a good experience learning about you from media. we love you and so hearing straight from you is something we can not do away with, now that you have started it.
so i don’t feel good when you mention ” dilution”. time or health may be issue in your communication but don’t put other barriers.
it took years before this medium came and then even years after that you started using this medium. now that you have started don’t put any brakes.
i hope you have a nice journey and healthy trip.

My first comment on your site respected sir, rather surprised that don’t you get bored answering the same set of questions, well I am listening to the same questions posed by every channel and every news paper journalist, I would say you should make a print copy & a video rec sitting in you home & send it to all media and let them edit it as Cyrus Barocha does it on his ‘The Week That Wasn’t', all they need to do is change the anchor, put in 1 of their own channel guys there, saves you time, saves them time the end result remains the same. I feel this should be done now more so, cause you have a blog and first it’s here then Breaking News on TV.
Secondly, it is very pleasing to see that you have finally decided to come out of your cocoon and speak up about matters which you usually don’t respond to.
Being a follower of Indian politics, I still wonder though where would you be if Shri Amar Singh & Sonia Gandhi joined hands, I am sure you would have given it thought, it’s not necessary that you speak about it but what the hell!
I also hope that you Shahrukh made peace, I am a strong believer that 2 forces being together are more stronger, but then again it is political too, Mr. Khan has never been shy about his closeness to the Gandhi clan.
Politics is such a b!tch, makes something so simple - life, so much complicated.
Finally I would like to say though I am not your generation of viewers I still admire your work and the first season of KBC will forever be better than the rest because of the fact that it opened the doors for the Amitabh fan to meet him up close and personal 3 days a week.
All the best sir and you have a dedicated non-media/journaist reader of your blog.

Comical isnt it? I think the Media is more threatened by the presence of Blogs from famous personalities than anything else. It is like removing a middleman and doing direct marketing. The feeling might be that now more people will read the blog rather than listen to their gibberish on Tv or read their stupid papers. Imagine all actors and actresses doing this, what will happen to Mid-day’s hit list. an entire section of a newspaper dedicated to gossip. no wonder they are threatened.
Anyways Safe trip and enjoy the stay with your family in France.
I know how it feels to be away from your family as I am going through the same predicament myself.

I have always wondered what the REAL YOU really is like. Wondered if I had met you as just Amitabh Bachchan & not the star Amitabh Bachchan. Would have you havee been any different to what you are personally ?
I loved the blog you wrote about your father. It opened a side of you which we dont know about at all. Felt very proud of you!
Excited for your film Shoebite!
Hope you have a wonderful time in Nice with the rest of the family.
Love you always!

Today only i started reading your blogs. It has been very good approach of yours to say what you feel. Many times you have kept mum on many issues and suppressed your feelings also. Now this has given a power to such an iconic person of the country.
Sir, do write not only for the issues that are concerned to you or your family but for the issues that are related to common people, bollywood and country.
People are eager to read you and i am part of them.

Dear Mr Bachchan,
I have been one of ur most devoted fan for years now. So devoted that I even went to the extent of buying Navratna hair oil just bec u advertised it. However, somewhere down the line my adulation for u was considerably diminished after Abhi-Ash’s wedding.
I had always seen u as an honest to God, humble and simple person but I just feel that it diluted the years of goodwill u had earned from the industry. I perfectly understand tht weddings are a private matter and I really have no business commenting on such an issue but I feel that u alienated several by not inviting them.
The wedding was extravagant and invitng just a handful more like SRK (d guy who comes closest 2 u in stature), Hrithik Roshan (who ws shootng wth ur d-i-l at that time), Rani Mukherji (a long time favourite wth ur family n abhisheks good friend) wud really not have hurt not just those people but millions of onlookers.
In India weddings and deaths (sadly) are the two most significant events in an Indians’ life and yardstick of relationships. U invite on the former and people who feel for u come for the later. The fact that u did not consider it important to invite the aforementioned did not really reflect too well on u. Specially for me, for whom u were always so larger than life.
I understand u were in mood for celebration but like I said, adding another 20 to the list wouldnt have made 2 much of a difference I am guessing.
Pls think abt it. N if possible do put forth ur point.
Do take care. U r precious for us (tho just a little less than b4).

Somehow i can sense that they are feeling theatened that this would become a trend.

Dear Amitji!
Every morning and every evening, I have a look to your great blog. The blog is meanwhile my second home. Thanks for your daily news, comment and thoughts. As I have read in today’s morning (German time) about your sentimental thoughts of your father’s passing away (day 26), I was so touched of it and I was feeling so sad and could hardly concentrate in my today’s course.
I was thinking on your writing and lots of memories on my mother are in my mind and I feel at the moment as would I be again a child. I never forget the last words in a low and excruciating voice from my beloved mother, before she came a last time in the hospital. My mother was very ill and had lung cancer. As my mother had got very bad illness; my father, my sister and I, we were always very concerned and prayed daily to God and hoped that she would get curing. But in her case was the cancer too wide advanced, no doctor and no chemotherapies could her help more. I’m thinking on her last words: Karoline my dear child, (my mother was the only one who called me so) so please take care of Konny (my little sister) and be always there for her. You are her elder sister and she shall now also partly direct after you. Please be for her not only a good sister and friend, but also try to be a little as a mother… She did tell still some other things, which but I don’t want to mention here. I feel so sad and I’m in tears. My mother died in year 1979 in a rainy August night, just my father was at this time by her. I’m so sad that I could not be by her in her last life’s hours. My sister and I, we were at the time by a very good aunty (sister of my mother). My aunty and I we couldn’t sleep in the night and cried, cried, and cried after phone call of father… My sister had slept on a couch. As she did wake up and did ask me with her sleepy voice: Is mammy now in heaven? I just said with crying voice, yes our mammy is now in heaven and we all 3 had cried a lot. I just wish, I would have told my mother at her life time more often that I love her. I also wish, I would have spent more told with her. I wish, I would have more laughed with her. I wish, I would have given to her much oftener big and hearty hugs. I wish…, I wish….
It is past meanwhile so much time as my mother died, but she is always on my mind and deep in my heart.
I also remember of my best friend (and motherly friend) Marion, she died in summer 2002. She also had cancer (stomach cancer) . She had also more times a operation and had got more times chemotherapy, but nothing of them did help her. In the time as my best friend had got bad illness, lots of friends came not more to her, but I did stand by her till at the end.
I never will forget my mother and my best friend. The memories of my beloved mother and my best friend will support me forever.
And may the memories of your great father and your beloved mother always support you too!
God night and have a blessed day!
With lots of love,
Kajo

Bhootnath is a wonderful movie and made for all audiences. My wife and my mother who are the best in-house critics of the movies, just loved BHOOTNATH entirely. After a long time, we saw a movie that touched our hearts. We laughed and we cried too.
CRITICS DO AFFECT THE VIEWERS POINT OF VIEW.
Earlier I used to read reviews before going for movies, but it affected my own judgement about it and I stopped reading reviews before watching it.
Nowadays, I go through them after watching the movie to see the critics way of looking at it. And that really works.
For a change, I went through review of Bhootnath in Hindustan Times by Mr.Khalid Mohammed before I could get to see movie and I was taken aback by harsh criticism of the movie. I would request all the movie lovers to read the reviews (for any movie) only after watching the movie and come out with “our OWN judgement” about it.
SYNOPSIS of the movie is well enough to decide what it is all about, rather making a decision (to watch it) after reading what critics thinks about it.
Respected Sir, have a great trip to Nice and have an excellent time with your family.
One in a million fan,
Kuldeep Apradh

App se bahut baat karne ka maan hai , lakin dar lagta hai baat karte karte ro na padu. Waise akhri bar bahan ke sadi me roya tha 6 sal pahele.

I wish you all the best for whatever you do in your life. I’m sure you’re in good health once you reach Nice. I’m sure you’ll be thrilled after seeing the beloved Son and Bahu. May you all have great moments together in France.
It seems like journos are really getting irritated for not getting the “EXCLUSIVE” right from you for an interview. Everyday, the news channel, print media, websites, etc will take some lines out from your blog, and will make it their own SPICY story. I was watching your interview on IBN-LIVE website and the way you answered the questions was extremely outstanding. TOI journo almost asked the same kind of questions, seems like, someone created those questions and faxed to every print media, news channels, etc. So should we call it Plagiarism of Indian media.. may be INSPIRATION!!
Have a healthy and wonderful stay in France…

Its just that we trust you a lot and look upon you as our idol. The only request that we have is that plz never let us down and keep up the good work that you do.
We would love to see good cinema which has some kind of social message tagged to it. Its really celebs like you who can make that iota of a difference in the mindset of many who dont really understand what life is all about.

Dear Amitji,
This is my third post to you. I enjoy reading your blog and have it on my bookmark. I had mentioned earlier that meeting with you in San Fran remains one of the best memories of my life. And your words in the lobby of The Grand Hyatt at Union Square, “Who is Eric”? will echo forever in my mind.
Just a few points. I read on rediff yesterday that the movie Bhootnath is a flop. And they announced that the movie Jimmy has had an average opening thus saying that it has fared better then Bhootnath.
Well here’s what i have to say. On Saturday, the second day of the release I went with my family to see the movie at a Cinemax theatre in Thane and it was sold out.So I booked the tickets for Sunday after noon show and the seats were rapidly filling up. Once I entered the auditorium I found that it was at full capacity. At the end of the show I did not hear a single negative remark. My neighbours kid ( a Sharukh Khan fan) has also seen the movie and he told me that he enjoyed it and commented about the great job that you did.
With these observations I fail to understand how the movie can be considered as a flop??? Does Rediff have access to all actual sale figures of all theatres around the country? Yes the movie was not so great as compared to your past hits but then this is a movie made for kids who love the movie and the adults too have enjoyed it. I for one believe that I got my moneys worth.
Moving on, I also saw your interview on CNN-IBN and enjoyed it thoroughly. The saying that we love to drag down the ones we put on a pedestal is the most suited for the media. I am glad that you have chosen this medium to correct the often biased and incorrect slant that the media has put on your spoken words and actions. Whether you concur or not, you are indeed a soft target “chiefly for the media”. I doubt if they would be so bold to twist and manipulate words of prominent political figures as they have done with yours. Today the media believes in creating news instead of reporting it.
I look forward to seeing your Sarkar Raj.
Carry on the great work. Have a great trip and best wishes to you and your family.
Best Wishes
Your ardent fan and admirer
Eric

Dear Amitji,
Wish you all the very best for your travel to the French Territory. I am sure, the frenchmen will be thrilled to have you with them.
This blog is definitely fascinating and an eyeopener for all those, who want to know the real side of the story, quashing the intermediaries. That’s what the beauty of the internet they call it.
Amitji, saw Bhootnath a couple days back with my kids , Raghav and Cheekoo, and I must say, a methodical, clinical and timely piece of art has been produced. I typically watch a movie with great intensity and I coul’nt get up from my seat during the entire show - Enthralled.
You know wht - The critiques have their own opinion, to which they are justly entitled, however, one beautiful thing has emerged from this movie, the visual representation of an ‘angel’ which the children think as the new ‘bhoot’. Nobody could had done it better, except you - again.
You are admiration and inspiration. Look forward to ‘Teen Patti’ and your tour information, as I get it.
As always, do take good care of yourself, and keep inspiring.

Respected Dear Amitji,
It feels great to hear that after such hectic and busy schedule you and the family get time to share space and moments of love, happiness and enjoyment. It is a great relief, after all family is family. The love, warmth, sentiments, emotional support and moral boost up which you get from your loved ones is a boon and God’s blessings or say the realization of God. The satisfaction which you get is beyond words.
I greatly admire your attachment and concern for ‘Babuji’ and ‘Maaji’ .I respect you for this reason even much more. The feeling of togetherness is the greatest medication and cure, which i believe can even result in miracles. Although i got to know this aspect of your family life from the book ‘To be or not to be’. Its very very touching. Your endearing behaviour towards your loved ones is an inspiration for all of us and i adore you for that. Similarly i would like to mention what i felt during your’s reciting of ‘Madhushala’ on your father’s birth anniversary in ‘Sahara shaher’. You took us to another world and i feel that recitation was so touchy hitting straight at the heart because probably you also went into another world where you could feel the presense of ‘Babuji’ as if he was sitting before you and listening and looking at you with praise and pride in his eyes.
May God Almighty shower his choicest blessings upon you and your family and fulfill all your dreams and fill your life with health, wealth, peace and prosperity.
With warm regards and loads of love,
Your greatest wellwisher,

Amitji, I am a great admirer of yours. It is the first time in the history of Indian cinema that an actor has been able to manage his ‘cool’ factor even at your age. And you have done this with a generation that is exposed to a lot of outside media (hollywood etc) and is therefore very demanding in its preferences. Hats off to you!
I have a question and it will mean a lot to me and other Indian women if u address it. Have your attitudes towards women changed over time? Is your marriage a partnership of equals or is it an old-style relationship where the man of the house dominates the family? I got the impression that atleast in the early years of your marriage, u had a hierarchical relationship with your wife (as did most people in my parents’ generation) and I wonder if that has changed. What model of marriage would you like the younger generation of men to follow? (As a legend and a popular present-day star, u have tremendous power to define Indian manhood and I hope you use this power wisely.)
Love,
Sameena

KABHI KABHI SOCHATA HOO KE NETA AUR ABHINETA JANTA SE JUDNA CHATE THEE LEKIN AB VO JANTA KO CHOD KAR APAS MEIN JUD JATE HAI AUR YAHI DES KI VIDAMBANA HAI .AUR DAITIVA(RESPONSIBILITY) BHI USI KA BANATA HAI AISI PARAMPARA KO KHATMA KANRNE KA JO SURU KARTA HAI.
SO SIR TAKE AN INITATIVE TO ENSURE TO STOP THE NETA ABHINETA COMBINATION CULTURE.

As I am writing this I have a big smile on my face and I am saying to myself wow the “Amitabh Bachchan” might read this. That would be an honor for me. I have just recently started to read you blog and love it. Please do keep writing.

AmitJi,
Appreciate your effort (that is so evident) in remaining true to the medium of blog..It will go a long in eradicating the misconceptions that the mindlessly idiotic so-called news media has probably created..
To be very honest with, during the past few years, for some reason i carried the impression that you had become “Mr. Bachchan” instead of the “AmitJi” we had come to know..It is great to realise how wrong i was..Thank you for giving us your blogs and i shall keep commenting.
P.s. Please kick the news media’s ass..they really deserve for taking us citizens to be brainless by serving the s**t that they serve..
Thanks and Cheers,
Vishal

Sir,i m sorry to talk on this issue.as u r very much elder to me,i give u due respects but sir about that Mr.Shah Rukh Khan issue,i want to say why did u compared urself to him?will u compare abhishek to hrithik next?no na?then why?see therez no comparison,u cant be i and i cant be u….so u cant be srk and srk cant be u.well, srk was selected for panchvi paas because i think he can mix with that age group well.i know u also can do that but still….u shudnt have compared,i think his kbc was as gud as urs.he is also best at his job.
i know u might have felt bad but i think people have been hurt because of that comparison.
Gud Luck

Hello Sir,
I have been a great fan of yours as all would say.. and you would have been tiring now of listening to this comment all your life time.. sir i recently watched your movie “Bhootnath” and you were absolutely amazing in that movie, i loved your role and the kid also has equally justified the character he played. Even though the script was simple you justified your role to the core. the movie was presented in a real good manner.
The promo’s of Sarkar Raj looks great too.. abhishek is looking great and aishwariya is gorgeous as ever.
All the best for the forthcoming releases.
Thanks
Ashfaq

Good heavens! Mr Bachchan
Other four members of your family are joining the blog shortly. Shall naturally include your ‘not so talented son’ to put it mildly. I dread to think. That would perhaps be the last day I hit this Blog. I got my answer. You are hell bent on shoving him down our system. We like it or not. You could not retain the sanctity of the love and adulation the people unequivocally showered at you
Would’nt it have been wisdom to engage your son in something he was good at thereby enabling him to pursue the same even when you are not around? You are leaving too much to chance. Please do not take the people who Made you for granted
I honestly regret turning a second time around
Au re’voir
Regards

Dearest Mr. Bachchan,
I can’t believe my luck as I am the first one to post a comment on your latest entry.
Gosh with your kind of schedule it’s amazing how you are so regular with your entries.
JUST WANT TO TELL MY FATHER, DR. K. N. BHATNAGAR IS A HUGE, HUGE, HUGEST FAN OF YOURS. THIS MAY SOUND CLICHED TO YOU BUT HIS ADMIRATION FOR ANYTHING, WHICH HAS TO DO ANYTHING WITH MR. AMITABH BACHCHAN IS WORTH SEEING.
HE DERIVES INSPIRATION FROM YOU AND QUOTES YOU AND EXAMPLES FROM YOUR LIFE EVERY NOW AND THEN.
HE IS OF YOUR AGE AND IS A PRACTISING SURGEON AT BHOPAL, A PLACE CLOSE TO HEART TO YOU AND MRS. BACHCHAN. IN FACT MY MAUSI HAS STUDIED WITH MRS. BACHCHAN AT ST.JOSEPH’S.
Please please add a note for my father, if possible, it’ll be one of my life’s best moment to read it out to him.
I am a doctor too and pursuing an MBA at Narsee Monjee Institute which is on the same lane as JALSA.
I’ll be more than happy to catch a glimpse of yours on one of Sunday evenings in front of Jalsa.
One last note, like Abhishek even my fav AB Movie is Agneepath I think nothing will ever come closer to that beauty.
Have a great time with your family Sir,
Regards

Amitji,
I wanted to post this last time…
The quality of your writing can give a run to many writer’s for their money. Its hard to make out that this is the same guy who spoke dialogues like ” Aisa toh aadmi life mein doich time bhagta hai….” “Ajab cheez banaya yeh telephone…. ” with as much ease!
It truly reflects the kind of education and upbringing you had. Mr Salim Khan was speaking about “not every English speaking person is intellectual”. Well Mr Khan, if you are reading his blog then you must have got the answer.
Mr Bachchan, its a sheer joy to know that you are not just the greatest Superstar ever, but also one the rare intellectuals in the industry. (and we are not talking of various psueds here).
Believe us, we wait for your blog with as much excitement as you have in writing them.

Your discipline and single-mindedness, in addressing all issues flung at you,is phenomenal.I can see that you post your writings late in the night, almost every time–i am beginning to wonder as to how many hours of sleep do you manage on a routine day?
I have noticed one thing–whenever you give interviews–both verbal and electronic, you seem quite reticent.Very measured in your words and soothing in your tone. But when it comes blogging, you seem so honest,so transparent–sometimes angry and befuddled.Just an observation,
I love reading your write-ups.I am wondering if you will even read my comment.Just wonderingggg:-).
Have a safe trip.

Dear Mr Bachan.
Like millions of south Asians I have been your fan for the past three decades. However this blog of yours has given me an opportunity which I would have considered impossible earlier. To be able to hear what u truly feel!
Frankly u always seemed to be a man with an above average IQ level but after having read your comments on the blog my admiration for u has definitely escalated!
Good luck at France.
