That is Drona !
Abhishek’s film directed by his childhood friend Goldie Behl, son of the late Producer Director, Ramesh Behl who made films with me - ‘Kasme Vaade’, ‘Pukar’ and with Jaya ‘Jawani Diwani’.
‘Drona’ has been shot extensively in South Africa and in Rajasthan and has a lot of special effects, being executed by a British Company. It is the same unit that is working on ‘Aladin’, where I have been shooting today.
I was keen to put up a photograph of the working in progress of the shoot in order to talk about it, but not knowing the technology of doing so will have to wait till tomorrow for the server to give me some assistance.
I am afraid today’s blog will be short and hopefully sweet and tomorrow….
In brevity, I remain with you -

It is amazing to see how artwork and technology have given a whole knew dimension to movie watching & making. From the old days of Black & White to the effects & simply outstanding imagery today, movie making & watching has transformed in a phenomenal way. The poster looks fantastic, hoping the film will be too. All the best to Little B.

MANN KA HO THO ACCHA..MANN KA NA HO THO ZYAADA ACCHA….
I never lived my life with that belief. I was a restless soul. Always asking, demanding and wanting more. I went against my parents and married the man I loved. I always did everything I wanted to do. Until..
After trying for a very long time, I conceived a child. I was happy, so happy that I thought everything in life works my way. Then suddenly into 5 weeks of my pregnancy, I lost my child. I held onto him or her for four days. My worst 4 days in the hospital. I would talk to my child, ask him to give me strength and pleaded him to hold on.
I could not save him. Nobody could. It was like everything I always believed had shattered somewhere. I lost him. Its been 5 months since that day, and everyday I cried in my heart thinking about “mrityunjay†(that’s what I named him in my heart).
Until I read this line of your father. I think he was meant to go, meant to be in a better place … maybe he will come back. To share it with you gives me a sense of satisfaction. To share it with the person who understands this one line that has changed me for good.
I dunno if my child will come back. The pain refuses to go away. But thanks to you, now I know…Mann ka ho tho accha ,, mann ka na ho tho zyaada accha. Shaayad bhagwan ne kuch aur hi soch rakha hai uske aur mere liye.
Lots of love,
Neha Himesh

Dear Sir,
Drona poster looks really rocking. I like the colors used. It looks like Starwars poster
I am really keen to watch Abhishek in this movie. He’s doing something completly different. I am really excited to see him in a different avatar and look. His long hair suits him well.
I never understood why Indian actors took such a long time to realize that changing look was important for a character of a movie. I guess maybe those days an actor would do several movies at the same time. But this yough generation is moving n changing things. So Bravo Abhishek for atleast changing your look. You rocK. I hope you will go on doing thiw with your futur movies too.
Lots of love

Hi,
You can use following tools if you are on Windows..
Flickr Uploadr - I think you are already using Flickr to upload the photos (that’s what I have noticed in some of the images) - Download it from Flickr.com - under tools section (http://www.flickr.com/tools/)
Now, under the settings of Flickr Uploadr, (Upload - Preferences) - Select following from Automatic Resizing dropdown. 800 Pixels..
This will resize all your high resolution images to 800 x 600 size, this will reduce the file size too.
Drag the pics to Flickr Uploadr and click on Upload (You can create sets and set permissions according to your requirements)
Now, download Windows Live Writer from Microsof’t site (It’s free) - http://windowslivewriter.spaces.live.com/
After that, on the right side you will find option to insert images from Flickr.. (if you are not able to find, there is a plugin to do that. It is called Flickr4Writer - http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=flickr4writer) - Look under Releases tab.
Download it, install it, restart Live Writer. Click on Insert Images from Flickr, rest is pretty much straight forward..
I hope this helps.. May be technical team be in better place to follow this procedure and explain you..
Regards,
Deep

Dear Amitji
How true is the poem “ jo beet gayi so baat gayi “ The life has to move on and one has to leave behind good as well as bad moments. Specially the bad moments one has to over come and propel oneself. But still many times those thoughts do come to haunt you and make you uncomfortable or feel good about it depending upon which thoughts cross your mind.
Now a days since last few months I am getting the feeling and thoughts about life after death and many times I am getting the feeling that what is the fuss all about in life as everything will be left behind us. Why so much fight of egos and for wealth. I have now developed the love for reading the history and imagining myself in that time and feeling how they felt and how they lived in that time and how the world will be after 100 yrs and yes we wont be there to watch.
So inspiring is your comment on the utility of the mind and body. And I always will remember that if you can in your age manage such long hours there is no reason why we can not and should not.
And I agree with your BLUNT comments for the blunt story. These guys need fitting reply and any soft approach would be treated as weakness.
Mine is big YES. Go ahead and give them a BOooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
With Love

Hi Mr Amitabh Bachchan
All what I will write it here I was wished told you befor long long time .. I always say If I meet Amitabh , I will tell him this .. but when you made this blog I didn’t do it untill yesterday I changed my maind ..
First, three words, I love you
Second, you acted with many actors like shashi, rishi, vinod ….etc and you were as a friend for all of them in films , but no one made me felt he was give a different meanning of a frienship with you . even if I felt there is another one be good with you it is just a temporary feeling .
only one person gave a meanning of a frienship when both of you came togethor. He has a special magic . That is Shatrughan Sinha ..
NEVER EVER will not come one like Shatrughan Sinha . I love to watch both of you in the same movie. you and Shatru are my favourite actors .love you guys.
you with Shatru are icon of a real frinship in a real life , don’t say it is just acting ,NO.
anytime anyplace meet each other really you are icon of friendship and I am sure you spent a wonderful time with him ..and what make me say all that it was result first film I saw it for you with him ( NASSEB ) .As I told you befor he has a special magic no one has it.
I watched several films befor nasseb for you with different actors but nothing happened, in one film Shatrughan gave a wonderfull meanning of a friendship and changed my opinion. he looks excellant choice with you ..hope I see you with him very soon ..
After nasseb I heard a beautiful song I really loved it although I didn’t know what it means at that time all what I knew it the song is from amitabh’s films, after many years I discover that song is from Dostana ( salamat rahe dostana ) Amitabh with Shatrughan and I knew it the meanning , and all what I said this is truth .
Amitabh and Shatrughan are icon of a friendship. hope he know this , both of you deserve all good things ..
Third, Iam glad to see you in ALADIN hope after that I read news you will be in a film as
Sinbad’s friend or Ali baba I’m sure you will be gorgeous. when I was child I saw Ajooba belive me I was the happiest girl even now If I saw it ..I proud there is more than film for you in future I can set with my children and watching your films for my hero and we will have fun ..and I am sure they will feel what I felt befor when I saw Ajooba ..
This is a gift to your grand children and your fans children .many thanks to you and
I’m happy and proud to be one of your fans..
Fainally ,this is first time I wrote a comment hope what I wrote didn’t bother you and sorry if it was bother you …

Dear Amit ji,
I have following suggestion for your website :
1. Pls include a free forum on Global warming and save planet campaign and give links to many websites run by environmentalists ! This is most serious threat to mankind after nuclear bomb invention and cold war era . Pls also include tips and information on disaster management.
2. Pls include Messenger like facility so that you and your family’s huge no of fans can bond together and exchange views with each other and may be help each other in times of need ! For example one of your fans might be suffering from cancer and one of your fans might be a cancer specialist so they can establish contact with each other in time of needs. This will also result in a captive audience for you and thereafter for Abhishek and legacy will go on effortlessly from one generation to the other !!!
3. Pls catalogue all the films/interviews and clippings in which you and your family acted/shot . Your fans/or press can download after paying upfront. This will take care of Web running expenses/financial viability as well as stop piracy of your DVDs so that royalty goes to rightful owners !
4. Put a provision for registering first to enter your Blog so that you can mine data for more closely knowing your fans. Get them fill in all critical information which is suited to run CRM software. All your fans are your films customer as well to put it frankly.
5. Last but not least, put general interest news on national, international, sports, weather, book, films reviews etc so that people do not switch webpage for these things. May be you can get input from Sahara TV or Star TV, NDTV or IBN …which ever gives you best deal !
I have a penchant to give only 5 top suggestions so I am deliberately leaving others which I am sure your backend team must have given you already.
With best regards

Dear Sir,
this is a film I am awaiting with eagerness, since I had the good fortune to spend a day on the shoot at Sambhar Salt Lake last December, meeting friends (among technicians) and making new acquaintances. Abhishek and Kay Kay Menon were a treat to watch. I’m particularly looking forward to the SFX in the movie, as I understand they are a novelty in Indian cinema.
So, any information you will provide here on this blog will be highly appreciated!
Meanwhile: All the best!
Yours as ever,
Amber
——————————————————————————–
P.S.: Dear co-blogger Abhishek, I found your remark on Satyam’s, Elisabeth’s and my comments from a few days ago. Thank you for the kind words! As non-Indian, not having been born and raised with Hindi film fare, I still feel somewhat alien here, so your appreciation meant a lot to me.
I hope the upcoming Bachchan Family website will have a discussion forum, so we can get to know each other better. It’s a fascinating community!
Kind regards, Amber

That was my first film in a cinema hall of my life and from there onwards i hardly missed a movie of yours and hardly watch a movie of others. I believe you are one of the greatest actor of indian cinema but has not been capitalised fully by our directors. some of your films really gave a lot of pain to me like aag, boom, toofan, jadugar ,lal badshah etc.
you have always managed yourself with great dignity and your conduct off the cinema has been a moral for all of us.

Dear Amit Sir,
I would like to introduce myself as Arun Chauhan and one (of among millions) your and Madam Jaya craziest fan. The story continues with Abhishek and Aishwarya too………………
For many years I wanted to chat/see/touch/hear you (and other family members). I am putting up in Delhi and make my least 10 visits in year at your place to have a glance of you (and other family members). But unfortunately never seen you (and other family members). My bad luck…………………..
But God is great and he has given wonderful opportunities to all your fans to at least write to us with never ending hope that their feelings will be answered one day by their dream man.
………………..and this opportunity is given to us through your “HIT BLOGâ€, thus I also want to grab this opportunity to write all my feelings to you.
I am 30 now………….ok 34 ……….. And I think I opened my eyes to world since the age of two years and started watching “big B†from my childhood which in turned became my passion.
Sir, this is not just to impress you but believe me I have in past (in present too) has got evolved in physical fights with my fiends/colleagues/etc just because I heard bad things about u from their bloody mouth. I never thought that in life I can admire anybody like this now.
One in Hotel Imperial in New Delhi I saw Madam Jaya waiting in pathway for the car and was so thrilled that I kept watching her till she vanished from my eyes. It was a lifetime moment for me.
Sir, I know I am requesting to much, can it possible that I can ever see all of you (in Mumbai or anywhere you like). I will not waste your time just see you all of you and touch you all.
Another request would be that please keep your blog alive forever so that your dear ones who are writing to you at least can feel your presence (as near to them).
Love you all Sir
May God bless you and all the other nicest family members with all the wish that they desire.
Take Care,
Arun Chauhan

Salute You!
But one thing i dint like- is the Ad you did for Uttar Pradesh. You think it was all true that your words meant? Well.. they translate to- Little or No Crimes in UP. I guess they top the charts when it comes to CRIME.. and many such false impression about UP. Another thing.. i am also from UP, though i dont live there. Visiting that place for week also.. becomes tough and tiresome.. and moreover everytime the newpapers read full of crimes.. dacoits..etc etc…..!
Can you explain your favourism towards UP?? :-S

Amitabh - yesterday, today and tomorrow….
Yesterday you were an angry young man
Weaving magic and creating a new beginning;
Every second birthed a new fan
Who adored and blessed the talented offspring.
Today your journey unparallel continues
With dignity and grace so rare to find;
The enigma that hearts and souls renew
Soaking your charisma whilst speaking your mind.
Tomorrow you will continue to transcend
Encompassing the hearts of the multitude;
Donning a new avatar as a guide and friend
For which we will bear our gratitude

Amit jee,
:)
Charansparsh,
I love movies with horses specially if it is shot excellently with nice background music.
Nobody can forget the beautiful horses scenes of “Sholay” where dacoits were chasing Goods-Train and Dharmendra jee, Sanjeev Kumar jee and you shooting them down one-by-one.
And “Khuda Gawah” scenes.
The way you ride horse its simply…(i dont know the perfect word to use)
mind-blowing all I can say…
Amit jee, I accept I am unable to show my feelings through words but yes the time I type I feel rush of blood inside me specially for such scenes.
Late Shri Sunil Dutt jee was also very good in horse-riding and Ajit jee in “Mughal-E-Azam”
I still remember a dialogue of Mughal-E-Azam where Ajit jee says ” Rajput jaan harta hai, Vachan nahi harta”…too good it was.
Actually actor, dialogues, camerawork, background music, editing if all are done in excellent way the outcome of the impact of the particular scene or movie is always excellent.
I wish “Drona” a huge success and once again Abhishek performance beat all his previous ones.
You know Amit jee I am very much sure your son is having huge huge potential to become a big star but somewhere it is not recognized. Only few has till date recognized the same i.e., Mani Ratnam jee and Ramu jee.
You son needs a fiery script and at the same time I am also sure he will be very good in comedy.
Abhishek/Amit jee, best wishes !

DEAREST AMITJI NAMASKAR,
ABHISHEK’S POSTER OF DRONA IS LOOKING LIKE A PAINTING. HE LOOKS GOOD WITH LONG HAIR. PLEASE CHECK AND WATCH THE MOVIE ,IT SHOULD NOT LOOK THE POOR COPY OF KRRISH. I DO NOT KNOW THE CALIBER OF MR. GOLDIE BHEL BUT THERE IS TOO MUCH AT STACK FOR ABHISHEK. AS I HAVE TOLD U WE R VERY FOND OF ABHISHEK AND WE ARE MORE ANXIOUS FOR HIS CHOICE OF MOVIE AND ITS FATE.PLEASE GUIDE HIM WHILE CHOOSING A MOVIE, IKNOW HE IS BIG ENOUGH TO TAKE DECISION BUT HE SHOULD BE GUIDED BY THE MASTER HIMSELF.
AMITJI THERE ARE MANY REPLICAS OF HRITIK ROSHAN BUT THER ARE HARDLY ANY ONE OF ABHISHEK,HE SHOULD BE MOTIVATED TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE.BUT WE LOVE HIM TOOMUCH AND ALWAYS PRAY FOR HIM IN PERSONAL AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL LIFE AS ILOVED HIS FATHER FROM THE AGE OF NINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
KEEP ROCKING SUSHMA SHARMA.

dear amit ji,
Baagunnaraa? pic was good. ur post today was very short, nice of u that even in a busy schedule of urs, u thought of all of us who would be waiting for ur blog, keep on checking if one has been posted,ag & ag for fear of missing it,wanting to be the first ones to read it.for all of us those few lines were enough & not enough.yesterday, when u wrote ab ur father, his poetry, wanted to share this quote with u ,as i thought this will be appropriate for all sensitive artistes.when a poet was asked if writing poetry was a pleasure, he replied,”i’ve often posed that ques to the rosebud, i’ve asked the songbird in springtime, i’ve asked the ocean throbbing with the glitter of the fullmoon ; is it a pleasure to bloom like this, to be lost in intoxicating music, to rise in this tidal swell of love? i’ll tell u their answer: THIS IS A PLEASURE. THIS ALONE IS PLEASURE. EVEN THE PAIN TO ACHEIVE THIS PLEASURE IS A PLEASURE.”
i wanted to share this with u,as u have become a dear friend now,not only a superstar who is a distant personality, only to be watched on a big screen,t.v., or a pic in the daily.u have become even more close , cause u read what we write, accept our opinions, value them even if they r faceless for u.
THANK U VERY MUCH, SIR. for touching our lives like this.
regards,wishes,love,
may the god shower petals on ur path,
take care of ur health,

hi amit sir
well this blog is more on Abhi n Aish :-))) as u have posted this pic of the movie drona…..is it war based movie…..actually when i heard abt this movie i first thought it is based on Dronacharya…of Mahabharata :-))
a piece of advice to Abhishek
whenever i watch his movies starting frm the days of refugee till guru…[i have almost watched all his movies....very few i have liked :-)))] I found his voice to be the best thing n his eyes. the kind of personality Abhi has , he is well suited for maturer roles (i mean more than his age……never ever do any college going kid or smething in the same line] recently all his films I think has been well selected even if they do well or not at the box office. He shud do sme roles dat is very very close to reality…smething like Sarkaar, guru n yuva…….i liked his character and the role even in refugee but the story was not dat well crafted to make the audience stick to it……..
Hope to see Abhi in sme very challenging roles (he always remind me of sanjeev kumar may be he luks very similar to u….all coz of ur n jaya ji’s good genes but wat suits him best is the kind of roles sanjeev kumar did….serious roles ..very close to reality, yet witty n always doing roles much more than his age)…may be most would not agree on dat….but dats my personal opinion
waiting for sarkaar raj
was wondering wat Drona is all about…..i am very very selective in movies…if i dont like movie i stop there itself..i dont torture myself till end……i hated abhi’s role in jhoom barabar jhoom…i cudnt take it more than half n hr…may be the movie was good in later half but i didnt had patience to watch it whole
just big banners dont make good films…..dats y i like Abhi….he has wrked with sooooo many new directors……even if the movies were flop they still had sme dose of freshness in them :-))
as for aishwarya……well she smetimes become to plastic to deliver…i loved her in Provoked…her best film to date in my opinion….very very real, no glamor…just a plain punjabi housewife..n she did it so well…… she just need a very good craftman to bring out best in her as Sanjay leela bhansali…i liked her in both of his movies. She was good in Guru n raincoat too……. may be i like her in only those roles where i see dat character in her not the Miss wrld Aishwarya…most directors forget to bring the character of the film in her……anyways, hope she continues with all good wrk
all the best to all of u
loads of love

This is easily my most awaited film this year. Drona seems to promise a rooted fantasy which makes it all the more interesting. I am less eager to watch in this or other genres Hollywood transplants.
Ramesh Behl’s two films with you, Kasme Vaade and Pukar, are personal favorites. The latter is a much underrated film. I put up an older piece on mine on the former in one of my responses on this blog.

Dear Sir,
The greatest service that you can do to the cause of Abhishek’s career is to let him get out of your shadow…In fact you should avoid doing films with him as your co-star,because only then, can he become what he is capable of…a star even bigger than you!

My Beloved AmitJi,
May Allah (swt) always keep you in the best of health and bless you with beautiful grandchildren. Inshallah.
Just watching Kabhi khushi kabhi gham and am in awe of the eay you danced to Shava shava. Your bones must be made out of metal. Earlier today was watching a programme titled ‘Tribute to Kalyaanji Anandji’ and this singer (cant remember the name) made a right mess of ‘khiake paan banaras wala’. But still, nevertheless, i put the song on full volume and rocked along, wow!! i miss my childhood sometimes! AmitJI when its possible can you expand a bit on your relationship with these two greats. Would like to know more about your experiences wit hthem and any special moments.
Coming to todays blog, the picture of Drona looks amazing, is it a war epic? Can you tell more next time about it, it actually does look extremely good. But before that cant wait for Sarkar raj!
One question I weould like to ask you AmitJi Please if you get time can you clarify. Days before your accident in Coolie, did Simta PatelJi ring you in the mddle of the night and ask if you were ok? And that she dreamt you were involved in a big accident. Is this true? I read it a few years back but dont know wether its factual or gossip. Can you tell us more about Simta Ji. You two looked great on screen.
Anyway AmitJi im off now will write more later.
All my love and affection

Sir I understand it must be hard to endure slander from the media especially because you have been coping with it for 40 years. How you choose to respond is entirely up to you as it is your right and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and because of this I’d just like to say that I miss the Amitabh Bachchan who seemed to understand these words better than anybody in the kind of responses you used to give to the media. I once read an interview you gave in the late 90’s when you were questioned as to why the media seems to indulge in such open criticism of you and the reply was that it was probably because you seldom gave them an oppotunity to criticise so when they found a little something you slipped on they attacked. Please forgive any misinterpretation of your statement but your words seemed to be hinting toward a philosphy that your actions speak louder than your words and the most adequate response to criticism is to prove it wrong through your actions and good work. As for your dignified silence sir, perhaps it was dignified in the sense that when people build the image of a person that doesn’t get provoked by every trivial issue, when they do speak, there words are recieved with greater attentiveness and respect. As for your bluntness, I also believe that there was an immense amount of dignity in your diplomacy. If the unacceptability of silence resided in the fact that it allowed for hurt and resentment to manifest within you, then the diplomacy not only satisfied the need for a response, but did so in a manner that others did not get offended and there was less opportunity for further criticisn towards your bluntness. As diplomacy is often perceived as being not offensive, your exercise of the policy was to your credit in the sense that it showed your respect to the party you were replying to and at the same time gave the impression that you were not particularly disturbed by their remarks and that put them in there place of being “false†and “rubbish†more than any amount of bluntness. Your silence, your diplomacy all came across as making a very strong statement saying no matter what anybody else says you weren’t going to stoop to their level of targetting anyone or hurting their feelings. It’s kind of like when you apologised to Mr. Shah Rukh Khan because of your misinterpreted comments even though many felt there was no need. You said you apologized and would do so a hundred times if you felt there was a mistake on your part and it needed to be corrected. According to me sir, there was a lot of integrity in that statement and it is this quality of yours that I’ve always admired. Your refinement, sensitivity, humbleness, and way of conducting yourself for the last 40 years is what made Amitabh Bachchan different in the sense that he caught the fancy of so many fans and was able to keep their respect for so long. I am not suggesting that you change anything in your method of interacting with the press as that is not my right to do so. You have every right to defend your name and your family’s and to decide how you will go about it. Serious matters like the legal proceedings you have recently been cleared off deserve your attention and clarification as they are serious accusations against you and your family but does every little taunt or dig passed by a journalist deserve a page of writing from you as a response? Personally, I enjoy reading your thoughts on philosphy, life, and your parents a lot better. But then sir as you said, faulted in speach and in silence there will be those you continue to criticise and abuse no matter what method of responding you choose to practise. The above content was just my opinion. I am years younger than you and do not have your experience of life, if I have said anything wrong, with all due respect sir, please forgive my ignorance.

Dear Mr. Bachchan,
I am the one who wrote hello with a question mark. I’m sorry if my obscure comment offended you. I am a TWELVE years old girl who lives in Thompson, Manitoba. This place is located near the ARCTIC CIRCLE in Canada. I have watched many of your movies and I believe you are an extremely talented and versitile actor. I prefer watching your movies in the seventies and eighties. On the other hand movies such as bagban, babul, boothnath, virud, and kubhi khushi kubhi gum are very deep and heart wrenching. Two days ago I returned from the Canada National Science Fair in Ottawa in which I participated. If you have any experiences or advice related to this please share some of them with me in your reply. On July 18, my family and I will be travelling to Toronto to attend your world tour. PLEASE REPLY SOON!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Amitji,
It takes a lot of honesty and effort to be able to speak/write what is truely your own thought. Its so touching to see a tree stand tall despite all the wind which tries to pull apart some of the leaves. And the tree stands there, shedding just the dried leaves and with a detemination to nourish the news leaves which provide shade to the travellers who want to rest under it.
You are one such tree who can teach others how to stand tall without diminishing its dignity and who is able to differentiate clearly between Respect and Ego.
This is so adorable and so positive that all the negative thoughts just seem to fly away.
We all come across resistances in life, but how to face them with dignity without getting slightly bruised can be learnt from you.
I wanted to ask you something? Did life teach you to be a person like that or you are under the guidance of some spiritual Guru? I can only conclude that its because you have blessings of your parents and elders which give you so much wisdom..
Best Regards,
Ambika Tyagi

Dear Sir,
Looking at your energy at this age I cannot stop myself but ask you “Khaate kya hain?”….
I wanted to know your views on this; India has been the house of so many magical, mystical stories. Stories which we have grown listening to. In spite of that, why is the Indian cinema at a dearth of ideas or stories. Why do always stick on to nothing but Love Stories. I am not saying that there should be no space for emotions but why can’t they think of something innovative. I really feel like standing ovation to directors like Ram Gopal Verma and Mani Ratnam. They have really given us some exquisite pieces of work. Otherwise, they all seem to be following the same old pattern. Why can’t we have movies on Global Warming, hazards and remedies of power shortage, inspiring the unemployed youth to start realizing that it is they themselves who have to help, to show the huge hidden power that India has to become a super power…. I mean there are endless issues to instill pride and honour in each and every Indian.
I hope I am not speaking more than my size. I would love have your views on this.
Warm regards.

Dear Sir,
I have been a die-hard fan of yours since my childhood. I was born when you as a STAR were approaching the zenith. And I was brought up with my family members talking about you. And then your accident in the ‘Coolie’ set! The news came each day in the daily, and I was beginning to think myself your part: I too wanted to shine. Like you, and I succeeded in my level. not in acting though, but teaching. Of late the war of the words that goes on between you and SRK, as posted in our local Bengali mags and dailies, is, I think a much-hyped prpaganda set off by the media. I think that everything is ok in your personal relations. I think, NEWS IS ONLY A FICTION TODAY.

I think the journalists have suddenly lost the true subjects and are using the most powerful medium to criticize this blog. ‘REDIFF.COM’ is one of the most surfed website inside/outside India and Raja Sen(one of their most established writers) becomes the latest journo to take ON with this blog.
Why dont people like him just SHUTUP and write on other things in life.

Stunning poster! Maybe I can get it for my walls which already have many posters of you, one of Abhishek, some other stars, and many films. Unfortunately, the theater which usually has free posters didn’t have one of Bhoothnath. I have a big Jhoom Barabar Jhoom poster on my wall, but to my disappointment, none of the posters from this film included you and your wonderful costume.
Today the Bollywood Meetup group here in New York is having a Bollywood Monday for Memorial Day. (Sorry to use the “B” word but that’s what it’s called.)
I can only see the last of the three movies because I’m working. It is at the coordinator’s house in Brooklyn. I think we choose the movie when we get there. Judging by the photos of those attending, I’ll be the oldest one there by far, so if it isn’t one of your film’s, I’ll try to get them to run an Abhishek movie.
As usual, I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s blog, but short and sweet is fine. I’m always excited to see a new post. It makes my day.
Love,
Rochelle

Mr. Bachchan,
Thanks very much for putting up a new poster of Drona. I’m very eager and curious about Drona. I think it will be a treat for the fans to see Abhishek in an action adventure role. I’m looking forward to the film this year. I’m hoping the story, directing, acting, and special effects will be topnotch for the film. I hope this will be a big hit for Abhishek. I’m rooting for all of Abhishek’s upcoming films to be sucesses. Hope you put up Aladin pix next.
Best wishes!

Dear Mr Bachchan
The picture of your son’s film is interesting. Reminded me of mideaval paintings but more bright in tonal value. Sorry but I can only read your entry whenever I get the time so here’s my thought to the last few you have written. For voting as to whether you should respond to these malicious allegations and comments from the press - “yes” to some and “no” to others. I admire the way you defend your family. Only you and they know which comments each individual find hurtful the most and would like to give an answer to. Also your relationship with the press has been ongoing for many years and you probably have an inkling to their style of writting and personality too - to gauge which you respond to or not.
Also you talk a lot about individual freedom of expression. Have you ever read Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s “The Social Contract”? There he talks about “free will”. He commenced with these words…”Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains. One man thinks himself the master of others, but remains more of a slave than they.” Thought this was very interesting as it is so true of society in general. The context may not be the same but the principle apply. Do not allow the press to enslave you by getting too involve in a “tit for tat” with them.
I could comment on Mr Pant’s article but I don’t want to take up valuable space in your blog for a man who clearly does not merit the attention. Besides you can clearly defend yourself from the onlaught of these so called journalist.
Instead do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions? But before I do I just want to write the following sentement.
Your entry of day 35 was yet again a very touching trubute not only to your father’s memory and work but also to a very devoted and dedicated loving son. I both admire and envy this closeness between father and child. I myself have not been blessed to have this type of relationship with my own father. My misfortune was that he died before I was delivered to deal with this world. A father’s love is amiss in my life but still I can understand this bond of unconditional love.
You often qoute extract from your father’s work when you write about him on your blog. I ordered his autobiography, “In The Afternoon Of Time” a few days ago before you mentioned the title in your blog but as yet it has not been delivered. I can only gleam a little of your father’s literary skill from the tidbits you write. He seem not only a good writer but an insightful man who wrote from the core of his very soul, his very being. I am really looking forward to reading the book for myself.
But for now, I’m intrigue, out of all the sources your father had within his grasp, why did he choose “WB Yeats” and
“Occultism” for his Doctorate thesis?
What you said about the human brain was also very fascinating. The more we use and sharpen our brain the more it thrive to want to learn. This is a scientific fact and, boy do you sharpen yours! Does your mind ever rest! You seem to be always on the go mentally too it would seem. If we could use 100% of our mental faculty it is unimaginable what we as individual can do.That simply would be awesome.
Anyway, if per chance you will read this, here’s my question again:
I’m intrigue, out of all the sources your father had within his grasp, why did he choose “WB Yeats” and “Occultism” for his Doctorate thesis?
Would be most appreaciative and grateful if you couldanswer….

Sadar Pranam
Nice picture.
U take care of urself, please tell us more about ur world tour, when r u coming to UK
I would like to share one thing with u, I was Karan Johar onn NDTV, he said Shahrukh was the king of the jungle and OM Shanti OM was one of the best entertainer of the century, Why is he so biased with Shahrukh
U R the ruler of bollywood and U r the Lion of the Kingdom. And Black is the best movie of the Decade, I am sure there was not a worst movie then OM SHANTI OM.
I have jsut started hating Karan for his biased views.
anyways, what r ur views in OM SHANTI OM and y did u do such a scene in that movie.
LOve u always
Prayers everyday that u reach the top of all worlds and all the best of all worlds for u

hi sir, I m the community owner of “ABHISHEK BACHCHAN” on orkut……….
and i daily post the news related to abhishek……………….. i got today one very interesting news about abhishek and i got to know more about him………….. i mhere with posting it i hope u would like it……………………
It is a well-known fact that two icons of the Indian film fraternity Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikanth are each other’s best fans and don’t forget to shower each other with accolades whenever they get even the slightest opportunity.
But we sniffed out some more news about someone else from the Bachchan household having a huge liking for the South Indian superstar.
Apparently, AB’s son Abhishek is a huge fan of Rajnikanth and can mimic and imitate the actor’s antics to the tee.
While shooting in a village in Hyderabad for Ram Gopal Varma’s forthcoming venture Sarkar Raj, a Bachchan family affair with Amitabh, Abhishek and the Bachchan bahu Aishwarya in it, Abhishek used to entertain the villagers, who flocked to the sets to catch a glimpse of AB junior and Aishwarya, and the entire cast and crew of the film by acting like the South Indian sensation, an insider says.
“We found out that Abhishek is very fond of Rajnikanth and he used to imitate him a lot on the sets during the breaks,†the source says.
“The villagers were really impressed to see him act like their favourite star and used to often request him to repeat his act which he did much to the pleasure of the onlookers. The other cast and crew of the film also enjoyed Abhishek imitating Rajni sir.â€
The source adds: “No one on the sets actually knew that Abhishek was a fan of Rajnikanth. Everyone knows that his father and Rajnikanth share a great rapport.
“So, when Abhishek one fine day started imitating the antics of Rajnikanth, everyone was amused. Seeing the excitement among the crew and the villagers when he did those antics, Abhishek used to do it more and time just flew on the sets during breaks.â€

respctd sir,
an IANS news item dated today , 26 May, has a line that suggests that you apologies for ur analysis. guess there is a zameen and asmaan, sky n earth difference between apologising for the analysis and apologising for unknowingly causing unintended harm/hurt/misunderstanding with SRK…
do u agree sir?
