There seem to be several complaints on the functioning of the post, the responses and my comments on it. I am having that looked into, so do bear with me. It is difficult to be out of the country and explain the problems long distance.
I leave now for Leicester for the diabetes function and shall return by the afternoon straight to the venue for our dress rehearsal. I intend to finish that by night and shall return to all of you hopefully with some solutions from Mumbai and BigAdda.
My apologies for all this inconvenience.
With love and more -
Amitabh Bachchan

Dearest Mr. Bachchan,
My 27th time writing…think we are getting closer and closer to you as day goes by. Like I’ve mentioned in my previous posts, until you reply to one of my comments’ I will not quit…but don’t worry if you do comment by using my NAME, then I will comment even more, not that I will stop and say, yes, Mr. Bachchan acknowledged me so I’ll stop now. This new feature on your blog is very exciting and we can’t wait until it is completely working. I just want to tell you that I have been one of your biggest admirers and one that I want to let you know is that you have touched millions (if not billions) of people with your personality, style, charisma, hard working ethic and loyaly & love for your family that it does seem like you are a part of our family. There is always a feeling of completion when we see your face on the screen. We simply just want to say…THANK YOU! Thanks for all the memories that not only I as a childhood have because of you but to our future generations to come. You truly are the Ideal Spokesman for a Living LEGEND!

Hi again from near Seattle,
I’m still here, and reading… I am sorry there was not an opportunity to see you and the rest in Vancouver, but I have hope that somehow, some day, there will be a place and a time that it will come together.
We are making plans to come to India in the next year or so, it may be that we shall meet there. It is the Lord’s will, when it happens. In the meantime, I continue to read your blog, and await a site where perhaps the whole family will make appearance and participation from time to time?
I cannot help but believe that the promoter in Canada was very poorly chosen, do not know who chose them. I read the comments regards the non-payment of staff in Toronto, and while I was asked to “help” in Vancouver, I could not leave here for some long weeks to go to Vancouver and work. Now I am glad, for seems I likely would not have been compensated for work, but also not had the pleasure of seeing you in either case.
The media says whatever they say, in order to make a headline, they care not who they hurt, so long as they sell advertising and airspace, or newspapers. Sensationalism is what sells, the truth does not. So while it has long been said, “The pen is mightier than the sword”, I suspect it depends on who is wielding the pen! In this case, we may extrapolate that old saying to re-read, “the writer of the popular blog is mightier than the sensationalist journalist”??? I think so.
What say the rest of you? Blog on, sir, blog on!
All the best,
Elaine near Seattle

Dearest Mr. Bachchan,
Hope you have a good day and London weather holds. We hadn’t in our wildest dreams thought that we would be able to communicate with you thro’ a medium called blog, but it did happen and then we were wondering if you were reading our postings and you picked a few names at random and that doubt was put to rest too. What’s another few days to wait for a reply one on one. Will definately wait and hang in here. But can’t supress all the excitment tho’ you will have to excuse that. Its like so near yet so far. MY only prayer is, bigadda can get it working in whatever the time frame that may be. Thanks to bigadda and You a million times more for making time for us. Good Luck with the Concert for tomorrow and God Bless!! Love Always,

THANK YOU! My husband, my two children and myself, we travelled from Dallas, tx, to Houston, tx, which in itself is no big a feat! but considering the texas summer and the confinement in their car seats for five hours , just to see ‘THE UNFORGETTABLES” is a true tribute and very deserving too, for a dedicated performer like yourself! MR. BACHCHAN! YOU ROCKED! YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR COLLEAGUES WERE FANTASTIC!
thank you for reciting, AGNEEPATH….very touching….
Great stage presence!
we were not sitting in one of the prestigious and prominent rows sir, we had our humble seating on the higher and upper rungs of the TOYOTA CENTER, but we were there, we cheered, clapped and cried…….we are very proud of you and the unforgettable group! THANK YOU ! god willing maybe someday we will be able to afford a seat closest to the stage……
keep up the fantastic work!

namaskarams to you sir.your family is greatest and one among the billions of people.every one make comments about you in media and news papers to make a living.you are giving jobs and earnings to them .when festivals are celebrated some way or the other many people benefit from that.now there are so many news papers ,so many channels and they have to supply some cooked stories to get the attention of readers and viewers.in india only 25 to 50 very famous artistes who are recognised.so they have to write only about them .it is not correct to intrude in one’s personal life.but none will read or watch a good article or good program.they want everything sensational.it is everyone’ s fault.but it is correct on your part to clarify through your blog.take it easy BOSS. you are the real BIG BOSS.with regards s.mala

I emigrated from London to Vancouver 2 years ago. I was extremely disappointed your tour got cancelled in Vancouver. I am a huge fan of yours. I was born in the UK and grew up watching your movies, which enabled me to learn how to speak hindi.

Hey Sir,
defense of your brood (Jaya, Aish!). Love that spirit.
Tell me you missed me! Hah, Fat chance! So you’re still demoted to ’sir’!Wishful thinking that you may have noticed that I’d vanished from your blog 10 days back. Why? In case anybody has wondered, what else, water-logged telephone cables or something which had effectively disconnected me. But phone is back in action and so am I! just glimpsed through missed entires- your mom was some lady! My deepest regards for her. There used to be a Hindi mag. ‘Dharmayug’ in my childhood, I still remember reading Dr. Bachchan’s memoirs, which they had run in sequels. It was spell-binding. Your mum, indeed, was a pillar of strength for the family.
And loved, simply LOVED your pics with Jaya ji ‘your special moment’ and your spirited lionlike
So much to say, but gotta go! You haven’t yet said yes to my query ab. an interview for a kiddie mag.? PLEASE! Pretty please? Saw ‘The Pursuit of haapyness’ yesterday, whatta movie, have you seen it? Gives me fresh energy in my pursuit of AB!!! Seriously though, you’ll- the child, we all sense in you, will enjoy doing this interview, promise, sir!! If you reply, we’ll also find out whether this bigadda instant indiv. reply thingy is working properly or not!

My Comments to your Day 121
Hello Amit Ji
Hope that London is treating you kind…
I did not get the chance to post these few lines on the blog re your Day 121 and so here goes :
I agree with you that a lie is a lie whether it is a small one or a big one and I guess I would take libel and slander, other unjustified accusations very strongly too and would give it my might to clear such unpleasantness tarnishing my reputation…..
With the press / media at large Amit Ji, all concocted stories about stars would be never ending and so you have to be prepared for it and fight them in whatever ways you can and get them to bear the consequences…
Indeed You may win libel and slander cases but at the end of the day whatever accusations was said in the press/media would carry its impact, i.e the first impressions of the reader would be the final impressions…..the harm would have been done and so where do you go from there ?
Well for stars as i mentioned, it appears that it would be an endless battle with the media ….. there will always be such damaging issues everyday and they will have to clear / fight them as they arise…
What a huge price to pay for having been made a star ??????…
However, please rest assured that most of us fans believe in your honesty , integrity and sincerity …we shall be there to give the support when and where required
Please take care
My best wishes

Dear Sir,
Cant wait to see you performing tomorrow. I got my tickets last night and have been gaurding it with my life
Got tickets in the floor seating so hopefully will be close enough! Only thing thats worrying me is the going alone part… dont have too many friends or family living close by and those who are cannot make it for some reasons or the other… their loss… but just a bit apprehensive about the being alone part. But am hoping that the euphoria and the excitement will take me through the initial phase after which I’m pretty sure I wouldnt even know the difference ‘cos I’ll be engrossed in the show!….
But cant wait for tomorrow.
All the best for your show. I know for a fact that its sold out (it took a major chunk of my salary and a lot of digging to find these seats!!! :D) And no, I’m not really complaining about the price, ‘cos its not something you’re involved in and to be fair, why wouldnt the promoters try to make as much profit as they can from the shows??? Just wish that the meet and greet events werent this pricey. It was more than my salary.
Love & Regards
Lakshmi

Dear Amitji,
I am again posting this incase it hasnt reached you..
with the love from the universe
Amitt
Dear Amitji,
I wanted to contact you for the past four years but didnt know how. Basically I wanted you to meet my wife who is your biggest fan. She can’t walk as she was affected by polio in her childhood but she dances in her spirit in her wheel chair when she sees your performances in the movies. We fell in love with each other 8 years back ..incidently she is a Sikh girl from kabul and me a Kashmiri Brahmin from india …Trust me she is one of the most fascinating courageous and beautiful souls that I have ever met in my life…..growing from an innocent thought to a relationship has been a journey which has been a joyful learning process and her ever smiling beautiful face has been the hope which can see me through any hardship in life…well I admit that I crib a lot sometimes but she’s been always a happy soul whom no one can bear to see a tear in her eyes…not met a single person in my life who’s not liked her as a person….All I wish is Amitji that you please meet her for one minute..only 60 seconds of your precious time n life…your one minute will make her happy for a full one life time she has on this planet earth and I want to surprise her with it, I dont have thousands of dollars to gain an appointment with you or the resources to reach you..except this medium which all I can pray for to reach you and if this reaches you please meet her for just one minute..we are coming to see your show on 24th August08 at O2 as she uses a wheelchair so we have taken a 48.00 pounds ticket and will be in the middle tier right in front of the stage on first floor…..I also have a Non- profit organisation called the Voice of Peace and have tried to spread the word for your show to everybody who is connected with our organistaion being some how managed by dimple ….well she is my wife’s name though her official name is Manjeet kaur and she is also writing a book on chakra healing..well one of those aware souls….
my number is 07870148110..and her number is 07877870979 …aapki awaaz ka intezar rahega
Bahut baddi mannat mangi hai humney rabb se..dekhey yeh khuda humara humari khwashi ko manntey hain ya. fir……….

dear amit ji
i generally read ur blog
i have one thing in my mind i really want to share it with U & everyone who is reading ur blog coz i know this is the best platform in where i can share my view with u & others
amit Ji in todays world where we talk of nuclear world , sensex markets economic development ……….the one thing which really hurt me alot ……..desire for having baby boy when ever girl has to give birth to baby girl …………..iam married for last 1 year & everybody who is givng blessings to have baby boy so called ” putravanti bhav” & i generally fight that i want” putri vanti bhav ” blessings they say shubh shubh bol, is being a girl a curse to society…………..cant we do anything to change that notion from peoples mind……………………why we have called India Democratic when a girl has no right to be born in India ……………..sometimes i wonder we value india so much all the time but these things break ur heart …………….u know neither iam a social activist nor i have any personal interest, iam a chartered accountant aged 28 living in shimla iam practising there ,i have a my small family but i want to help society by taking away this ridiclous, illogical thinking …………can u do something to take away that feeling of not having baby gal…………u know when u have two daughters people say…………..” oh dusri bhi kadki ho gayi” but why dont people say ” oh dusra bhi ladka ho gaya”when u have second baby boy why people say ” beti hone ki mithae kyon” i think identity & dignity of a person is important than being gal or boy , can these differences be removed whenver i ask people that why do u want boy & not gal they tell such irritating logics…………….they say u have to carry the legacy of the family in which u r born , i want to ask them ,are mangeshkar gal carrying their in laws legacies? or their fathers legacy u all know mangeshkar as lata ji or Indira gandhi she carried fathers legacy…………………..therefore identity is more imp than being gal, some say ur parents live alone afterif u r two gals in family is that true? then why do boys leave their family living in the same town i acn share almost 100 stupid instances of same but i dont want to………..iam telling u all this since i want u take steps to change peoples notion as ur influential personality can do so
with warm regards

Dear Amitji,
I am a bit late, but would like to comment on your media post. While not going into a detailed point by point comment, I would have liked to see some posts of some journalists / media groups taking up the issue, so that we could have had some informed debate, with media also commenting on their part of the views. While undoubtedly you have full rights to take up the issue with media on issues that you disagree. However I feel it would divert the debate from a number of other issues that we could discuss here. Secondly since your repsonse would be predicatable, there are possibilities where such a situation could even be misused by some devious persons/groups. My own thinking is that it would be easier to hire a professional agency to handle such matters (I assure you I am not from media and hence do not have any conflict of interest in saying so).
Hope your chest infection has vanished.

Dear Mr Bachchan,
I heard a lot about your blog so far but was too busy with my business, family, etc to have read it. I am out of action since last week because of chickenpox and have few idle lonely moments when I can explore things over the internet sitting in a closed room.
Your blog was certainly one of the items, though not at the top of my list. I did spend about 2.5 hrs just reading from Day 111 to 123 and analyzing the life of a person like you. I would like to share few of my thoughts though… (not sure if you would ever get a chance to read it).
I think you are a real multi-tasker. I am amazed to see your breadth of knowledge on different verticals. At the same time your command over the language is fantastic. You have achieved success in life because you have worked very hard and its very much visible. People dream to be like AB, SRK, Ambanis and Tatas but what they don’t see is the hard work, commitment, dedication required to be at their level.
I can only say that reading your comments on this blog was very motivational. I think there is lot to learn from your experiences that you are sharing on this blog.
I will try to atleast read your comments on the blog once a week if not daily and would request you to keep sharing your experiences (could be past ones as well).
Being a software professional, I would also recommend changing the layout of this blog as it was pretty tedious for me to read all comments. There are other blogs on the internet that provide a better layout or in fact you could have multiple layout options on the blog and ask the user to choose a particular option based on his/her preference.
Good Luck to you for all your future endeavors.
Kind Regards,
Kapil Khanna

Sadar Charan Sparsh,
I wish you and every one of your troupe of Unforgettable the very best for the great Janmashtami and also for Dahi Handi the day after which is highly popular in Mumbai. We all do remember a song from your film -
Mach gaya shor saari nagari re
saari nagari re
aaya biraj ka banka sambhal tori gagari re..
I could not desist to tell you how I shared the news of your reply with my family members.

Hello Everyone!
Best Wishes for a great Janmashtami to all of you!
I don’t know if it is today or tomorrow. I was sometime back having an idea flashing in my mind to find out if a xerox or a scan of Krishna Lahari could be made available to me. I would have loved to put it across on my website for the family and others. I think Punna bhaiya may still be having a copy of the beutifaully written sanskrit verses by Nanaji. It does remind of those great times spent in Delhi.
Here I share a great news form my point of view and those of you who do love Mr. Bachchan and or atleast know of my love for him would realise its significance.
Well, on the comments submitted by me on his blog of day 122 ( read the comment number 59). Mr Bachhcan wrote this:

Thank you Abhay for your exhaustive comments and support. And of course the wonderful poem. One day I too shall write in Hindi on the blog. Trying to get the correct software !
———
Now, This is no small news and I have digested it all by myself for so long as I wanted to first realise and really believe what he meant. I have been blessed today with all my blogs and love for him. His unforgettable tour is raising money for buying solar laneterns for poor asian countries, parts of India included.
I have noy been able to muster enough guts to tell him that I do not mind to give money for three lanterns one each on behalf of Myself, Amrit and Savita. I think I would inquire with him after the first revised salary becomes available after the pay commission . That should be 1st October 2008. I should better find the cost of one before committing though!
I am attaching a copy of the pdf version of my comments to which the abve response had been offered by Mr Bachchan. He has said it in so many words is quite a matter of honour. I wish some more people visit his blogs. He writes so very well, and quite a few comments from others are also quite worthy to read. yeah! it does take time to get to the blogs you may be interested. The ones which I liked and commented are about his mother on day 112, in fact I had sent three comments to day 111.
It has been an elated feeling for most of the day! still not knowing how to rejoice the fact really!
More Later

So brother, I must say and admit here that you indeed are a very humble person as well besides being intellectual, honest and a man of high integrity. No wonder, then that France and England had awarded you their highest awards. It is not much time that India too shall confer a Bharat Ratna to you!
My best wishes are always going to be with you.
I did write the Jerry story submitted by another fellow blogger. I know it does reflect your approach to life as well. A very positive person!

Yipee, it’s done..
Here it is:
Amitabh Bachchan’s clout over the Media
Let’s analyse how it all began? Amitabh Bachchan, after suffering incredible torture at the hands of the Indian media for 40 long years, finally decided to fight back. He chose blogging as the method to counter all kinds of allegations and malicious reporting indulged in by the Indian media. But it was important that fans realized the existence of Amitabh Bachchan’s blog in cyberspace.
Who would launch the publicity campaign for Mr Bachchan’s blog? The answer to the question lay at the doorstep of the Indian Media! Yes, it was the Indian Media who unintentionally became the unofficial publicity agent for Amitabh Bachchan’s blog.
How did it happen?
This is what Amitabh Bachchan had written(excerpts)in some of his earliest blog posts:
Day 3: “Last night as i scrolled through the channels on TV, i came across Headlines Today, under their Entertainment programme giving a report on my Blog and its formation. I want to thank them for their generosity in providing me and my Blog the much required publicity of its existence. Though i found their comments laced most subtely with sarcasm ! They gave their reason for my Blog as an escape from ‘political attacks’ on me. Thats laughable. For a non politician it does not qualify me for political attack.”
