When I got the offer for “Sikandar” I was extremely excited. First of all, the whole prospect of going to Kashmir was amazing and when I received the script I simply fell in love with the whole story and the role I was being offered. I had heard a lot about Kashmir’s beauty but nobody can describe its true magnificence in words. Our aim, or at least my aim, was to show all those people who had never been to Kashmir just how beautiful it was.

I really did work hard for this project; learning all my lines in Hindi and Urdu, two languages that were foreign to me was a true challenge. But I think that to reach far in life, one must always be prepared for challenges, open to new things. Acting has always been my passion; ever since I was a little kid I would light up in front of a camera.
