I love to travel, and I have been to so many places by now I don’t think I will be able to count them all. Every year, my family travels to different places of the world. I’ve been to the Andaman Islands, to Brazil, Egypt, South Africa, America… I’ve seen wild elephants and swam around tiny beautiful islands. I’ve been in three of the world’s biggest cities: New York, London and Tokyo. But before Sikandar, I had never been to Kashmir. Sure, I had heard loads about it- my father spoke many times of the beautiful mountains and the rivers. He would say “It’s the world’s most beautiful place.” And after shooting for Sikandar, I found myself feeling the same. And to tell you the truth, one of the main reasons (apart from me loving the script and the character) that I decided I should definitely do this was when I heard of where the film would be shot.

But what made shooting for Sikandar so great was not only the beauty of the locations, but also because of the friendships we all made there. We all became rather like one big family- all away from our real families. Piyush sort of became like my Papa, and Parzaan like my brother. Everybody worked their absolute hardest for Sikandar.
