I realised after I’d sent out my post that the whole time and date coincidence that I was talking about is actually for next month! Sorry about that… Anyhow, it still unknowingly allowed me to kick start the celebrations that await us for the next week.. We start travelling tomorrow for our city tour!
This will actually be my first time travelling from one city to another on each day! The thought I must say is slightly tiring but also immensely exciting! Of course the trouble being that you have to pack and think ahead for that many days in different cities with different functions happening everywhere! I am the worst person in this regard, but I’m learning..
We start with Bangalore, then Delhi, Jaipur, Calcutta, Ahemdabad and finally Nagpur! That’s quite a varied range of places, with different cultures, different kinds of people, a different city life and different climates too! I’ve always wanted to be in a new place every day and here I am, going to be doing just that, only i will have no time to enjoy the cities per say. Oh well.. at least I have the company of my team - Adhyayan, Anjana, Toshi, Sharib and of course our very own Mahesh Bhatt! What else could I ask for! =)

My day started with a forward on my mobile telling me how today at 12 hours 34 mins and 56 seconds the date and time will be 12:34:56 07/08/09, and how this moment must be enjoyed as a rare occurance. In other words, some form of celebration.. jashnn..
Yes Jashnn is my upcoming film, releasing 17th july, but the Jashnn in this film is considerably deeper than the afore mentioned time and date coincidence! =) I don’t want to say too much about the film besides the fact that its a story that really pulls you into it, giving you a voyeuristic feeling of peeking into the bare truths of the relationships between the characters of the film. You’ll feel as you would had you been standing amongst those people, watching them go through their turmoil.
For me as an individual i have perhaps for the first time realised the depths of certain complicated human emotions and mannerism that I haven’t known because i haven’t seen those sides of life. This is the privilege of being an actor.. it allows you to live through times and spaces (both mental and physical) that you haven’t and perhaps never will encounter in your life. I drained myself completely on an emotional level through the filming of this movie but in the process have come out feeling enriched!
I know I’ve started with the serious side of Jashnn but keep a look out on this site and I’ll update you on all the ‘behind the scene’ moments which are surprisingly quite contrary to the the emotion heavy on-screen activities! =)
